We’re coming to the end of summer holidays, so it’s a great time to see what our sailors have been up to over the last few months.
The first image shows past and present Trinity sailors on Nantucket. Across the three sailing organisations on the island, many of our members have been plying their trade this summer (more on them later).
Last year’s club captain Harry Twomey has been busy this summer, competing in numerous events across Europe. He has recorded some fantastic results, including a ninth in J70 Corinthian Worlds, an eight among Corinthian sailors at J70 Europeans, and a second place in the Commodores Cup at the Royal Yacht Squadron.
Our Nantucket sailors have also been sailing J70s, with some footage attached. They’ve been competing actively on the island and many took part in Nantucket Race Week. Notably, Conor Lynch and the crew of Siren won the prestigious Opera House Cup.
Club Treasurer Tara Berry has been a little closer to home in Croatia, where she’s been skippering yachts around the coast with Armada Week.
And finally, back home, Peter Williams took part in Calves Week this year. The event, hosted in Schull, had a record number of sign ups this year. Despite the increased competition , Peter’s boat Joyride had a strong event in the hotly contested class 0.
It’s been a busy summer for Trinity sailors around the globe, and we’re all excited to catch up and share all of our summer sailing experiences ⛵️ ⛵️
