Pinergy Orwell Wheelers Welcomes 80+ new members in 2026.

Pathways is a process by which the club welcomes new members in a "safe and orderly” manner. It focuses on group riding skills, which are demonstrated and practiced on an enclosed cycle track and led by professional coaches and experienced members.

We wish all of our new members, safe cycling and enjoy you time in our club.

Ran Out of Road 600K Audax 21–23 August

Huge congratulations to Orwell Wheelers’ David Costello and Francis Barry, who took on the Mizen to Malin Audax — 607 km in just 2 days.

They both completed the ride within the 40 hour time limit.

Out of 24 riders who left Schull, 20 made it to Malin — David and Francis were the only Orwell cyclists to take on the challenge.

David was raising awareness and funds for the “Purple House Cancer Support Charity*. Over €1,300 has been raised to date making this an incredible achievement both on and off the bike.

Well done, David and Francis — the club is proud of you. 💜 💜
