🏸 Summer club is a great opportunity to try out playing for one of the biggest clubs in Dublin.

Our ethos are focused on having fun, player progression and consistent play.

Invitations for each training session goes out 5 days prior.

A huge benefit to joining South Dublin is that club nights are uninterrupted by matches during the league season. Matches are always played on Friday evening, outside of training times, allowing consistent play time and team practice sessions, even during the busiest times of the year.

With our range of players, you’re never short of a challenge at any level. We are primarily looking for ladies in Division 1-6 and men in 1-3 for the coming season. Spaces in lower divisions will open based on availability, closer to August. If you’re considering joining us, please reach out to us via DM or speak to a committee member in person at Summer Club.

Doors Open from 7.30pm and BPL Matches Commence at 8.00pm

The AIG VICTOR Irish Open 2024 is here! 🇮🇪

From today until Saturday 16, Dublin, Ireland, is hosting top badminton players from across Europe and the world, all competing for the International Challenge title.

Wednesday 13, 10 AM CET (9 AM local time): Qualification Rounds
Thursday 14, 10 AM CET (9 AM local time): Main Draw (1st and 2nd round)
Friday 15: 10 AM CET (9 AM local time) – Quarterfinals; - 5 PM CET (4 PM local time) – Semifinals
Saturday 16, 2 PM CET (1 PM local time): Finals

An update on South Dublin BC logistics for the season 2024/25 season.

Our home league matches will be played in two locations this season.

1. St Tiernan’s Community School, Parkvale, Balally, Dundrum, Dublin, D16KW26 on a Friday night from 7pm to 10pm.

2. Baldoyle Badminton Centre, Baldoyle Industrial Estate, Baldoyle, Dublin 13. 8pm to 11pm

Here is a list of our club training nights.

1. Monday night 7pm to 10pm in St Tiernan’s Community School, Parkvale, Balally, Dundrum, Dublin, D16KW26 Division 10, Beginners night Closed to new members.

2. Tuesday night 8pm to 11 pm in Terenure Badminton Centre, Whitehall Road, Perrystown, Dublin, D12P659 This is for Division 1 to 4 players, There are a few spots available for female players.

3. Wednesday night 7pm to 10pm in St Tiernan’s Community School, Parkvale, Balally, Dundrum, Dublin, D16KW26 Division 5,6 and 7. This section of the club is closed to new members.

4. Thursday night 7pm to 10pm in St Tiernan’s Community School, Parkvale, Balally, Dundrum, Dublin, D16KW26 Division 8 and 9 level DDLC.This section of the club is closed to new members.

5. Thursday night 7pm to 9pm in Terenure College School, Templeogue Road, Dublin 6W
This is a Division 19, Social Beginners night There are a few spaces left on this night.

The Kick Start Adult Graded Event 2024 - Check In Times

Please find attached the Check-In Times for the upcoming Kick Start Event taking place this Saturday (17th) and Sunday (18th) Leinster's Baldoyle Badminton Centre .

There was a great response for this Event, thanks for al that entered and apoligies to those that may have missed out as a result.
This is going to be 2 long days and we need all the Mens players to please come along early so we can get you on court asap and keep the games moving throughout the day.
Please also ensure your partner knows of the scheduled check in times, and the venue.
We are pleased to advise that their will be sandwiches and refreshments on sale on both days
We look forward to seeing all the Men bright and early on Saturday

The new 2024 / 25 Badminton Season is just around the corner and time to get back into match fittness or perhaps try out new partnerships - so why not do so at Leinster Badmintons Kick Start Graded Event.
This Event is open to all Leinster Badminton Players that are affiliated with Badminton Ireland.
Dates are:
On Saturday 17th August : Divisions 6 to 10
On Sunday 18th August : Divisions 2 to 5 and BI ‘B’
Venue is : Leinster's Baldoyle Badminton Centre
Entry Fee - For One Event is €16.00 per Person
Entry Fee - For Second Event is €12.00 per Person
