🇮🇪 IRELAND U14 v PANTHERS – REITIA CUP 🇮🇹
🥵 Extreme heat. Huge effort. Incredible determination.
Today’s game against the Panthers at the Reitia Cup in Cittadella was a serious test for our Ireland U14s — and not just because of the hockey.
With temperatures soaring to 35°C+, the conditions were absolutely brutal. The heat was nearly unbearable at times, and keeping the players cool became a constant battle. Ice packs, cold towels and plenty of water were a constant part of the game as the team battled through the extreme conditions. 🧊💦
But despite the heat, the tired legs and the difficult conditions, these kids just kept going.
They worked incredibly hard from start to finish, battled for every puck and supported each other every step of the way. There were moments when the heat looked almost unbearable, but every time they stepped back onto the rink, they powered on. 💪🇮🇪
That kind of determination deserves huge credit. It wasn’t just about the hockey today it was about heart, resilience, teamwork and refusing to give up when things got tough.
