Beaumont Taekwondo Centre

Beaumont Taekwondo Centre Beaumont Taekwondo Centre is a community club based in Our Lady of Mercy College, Beaumont in North Dublin.

The club was established by local Master of Taekwondo Gerry Martin with the help of his family and friends in November 2011. Beaumont Taekwondo Centre caters for students from the age of 6 to 106 and teaches and promotes taekwondo - the Korean form of martial arts. Classes run 2 nights a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Sports Hall of Mercy College, with juniors training from 6.30pm to 7.30pm

and seniors from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. The club is run by local resident Master Gerry Martin who is a 7th degree black belt in taekwondo, who is supported by 7 other instructors. The benefits of taekwondo are many fold including agility, strength, fitness and self defence. Everyone must observe the tenets of courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self control and indomitable spirit and our instructors have over 30 years' teaching experience. At Beaumont Taekwondo Centre our focus is not just on students doing well, but on the well being of students.

Hello all
The government decision to move Dublin to Level 3 means that our planned return to classes in Mercy College this week is cancelled, as any guided indoor training is prohibited at this time. We are monitoring the situation carefully and we will update you on any further clarification from Sport Ireland / HSE.

We know students will be disappointed, after waiting so long for clearance to return to the hall. However, we must all follow the guidelines carefully, in order to keep everyone safe.

Meanwhile, we propose a free Zoom class this Tuesday 22nd September for members. If you are interested and have not already contacted Mr Hannigan please do so at: [email protected] to get the details of how to log on.

Yours sincerely,
Master Gerry Martin

Hi everyone,
Good news! We will return to training on Tuesday September 22nd.

Please note, Mr Kevin Hannigan has been appointed as our Covid officer. Before members can attend classes, we need all members to send an up to date email address and contact number to [email protected]

We will then send you an email with the information we require from you and the protocols and requirements we have in place to facilitate the return to training.

Yours sincerely
Master Gerry Martin
