The Irish Life Dublin Marathon today launched its 2026 campaign, celebrating the 45th Running of one of Europe’s largest marathon events and officially beginning the road towards the race’s 50th Running. Included in the group launching the marathon were Raheny Shamrocks Martin Kelly, who has completed every Dublin Marathon since the inaugural race in 1980 and Dick Hooper, three-time Dublin Marathon champion and winner of the inaugural race in 1980, marking the 40th anniversary of his final Dublin Marathon victory in 1986. 📸 David Fitzgerald /// Sportsfile

What a National Schools championship for our club athletes. The hardest competition on the juvenile calendar due to the combined ages and our athletes excelled☘️

Theo Duffy started off proceedings on Friday evening claiming 🥇 in the Inter steeplechase in a blistering last 100m.
Charlie Gunawardahana won 🥉 in the senior steeplechase.
Philip Carberry threw 32.62 to claim 5th place in the Junior Boys Javelin whilst Liam McAtamney raced to 5th place in the Junior Walk
Des O'Neill started off proceedings with a win in the Senior 400mH. He raced to a championship record of 51.89 and a World u20 qualifying standard.
Freyja Carroll claimed the silver medall
