A little morning thought as I make my way home from my walk.

Before you step into your working day, remember the importance of those little pause moments.

Throughout our day, we have choice points. Opportunities to pause, check in with ourselves and consciously choose how we wish to respond, rather than simply react.

In leadership, these small moments can make a big difference to our communication, our decisions and ultimately our outcomes.

Pause. Anchor yourself. Choose your response.

Good morning. ☀️

What if one of the most powerful leadership skills isn’t something you do…

…but something you choose not to do?

There are so many leadership skills we talk about — communication, decision-making, confidence, delegation.

But one of the most powerful, and often overlooked, is the ability to pause, be silent and observe.

As heart-led leaders, we don’t always need to fill the space.

Sometimes we need to listen.

To notice.
To allow.
To give others room to think, speak and find their own way.

Because when we don’t rush in with our answer, we create space for their answer to emerge.

And that is empowerment.

Heart-led leadership isn’t always about having something to say.
Sometimes it’s knowing when to be quiet. 💛

Hi all ✨

I wanted to share that from the end of September, I’ll be offering bi-weekly Monday evening Yoga Nidra sessions, on a donation basis — pay what you can, or how you can.

In these times, there can be such a tendency to look outside of ourselves for healing — to grasp for someone or something to tell us what we need to do, where we need to go, or how we need to be.

And yet, one of our greatest allies and anchors is often already within us — our own soul, our own spirit, and particularly our own body.

As we move into autumn, and the darkness begins to descend a little more, these sessions offer an opportunity to turn inward.

To recognise it.
To feel it.
To listen to it.
And ultimately, to rest in it.

I’ll gently guide you into your body through Yoga Nidra, accompanied by original music — either recordings by me or beautiful original works by musicians I’m connected with.

A space to pause.
A space to soften.
A space to be held.
A space to come home to yourself.

No striving. No achieving. Just lying down, listening and receiving.

🍋 When life gives you lemons…

Don’t rush to make lemonade.

First, notice the lemon.

Notice how it smells.
Its texture.
How it feels in your hand.
Whether it’s warm or cold.
What it tastes like.

Then pause and ask yourself:

What is this telling me about my tastes, my choices and my needs?

Do I need it?
Do I want it?
Or is it simply something I can let go of?

It isn’t always about having the answer or fixing what’s in front of us.

Sometimes it’s about slowing down enough to notice what’s actually happening — and then choosing how we want to respond.

Because sometimes, the most mundane things hold the most spectacular understandings.

We just have to notice.

Usually, the wisdom isn’t very complicated.

We just need to keep it stupidly simple. 🍋
