Portmarnock Swim Team Portmarnock Swim Team aims to provide an enjoyable environment for swimmers to develop their swimming skills so they can reach their maximum potential.

Portmarnock Amateur Swim Team is a voluntary organisation with an elected Committee. The club’s aim is to provide an enjoyable environment for young swimmers to develop their swimming skills so they can reach their maximum personal potential. Any child aged over 4 is eligible to join the club after completion of a trial swim to ascertain the squad that suits their abilities the best. The coach wi

ll decide which squad the child is eligible to join. If there is no available space, he / she will be put on a waiting list until a place becomes available. The Club has a squad structure in place that affords swimmers the opportunity to develop technique, skills, endurance and speed which is necessary for competitive swimming. There is continual assessment of swimmers within the squads and as they progress will be entered into competition suitable to their ability if they so wish. They will progress through the squad’s at the discretion of the coaches with equal opportunity for all swimmers regardless of age.
