Clondalkin Shotokan Academy Traditional JKA Karate Dublin

Directly affiliated to the Japan Karate Association through Sensei Noel Casey, 7th Dan chief instructor of JKA Ireland.

We are South Dublin's only official JKA Shotokan club, directly affiliated to the Japan Karate Association via JKA Ireland with Chief Instructor Noel Casey 7th Dan. Unlike other clubs, none of our gradings are completed in-house, all gradings are completed by Sensei Noel Casey, 7th Dan Chief Instructor of Ireland who has a special license from JKA HQ in Tokyo Japan to carry out gradings. No other

clubs in the area have that level of quality assurance. Established in 2009 by Sensei Preston the Clondalkin Shotokan Academy is the only Shotokan karate club in the area directly connected to the original family tree of the Shotokan Karate style, via the Japan Karate Association. All our grades are accepted and respected all over the world and our Dan Grades are registered and certified in the JKA Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. There is no higher karate achievement than a JKA black belt.

Tuesdays and Thursdays.
6pm - 6.30pm warmup class. Ideal for younger kids to get moving.
6.30 - 7.30pm All ages and grades.

No joining fee
No nonsense
First class is free

It's hard to believe its been a year already since we lost Stephen.

Since the very first day when we opened in 2009 he was there though thick and thin, the first member and by far the most loyal.
An outstanding fighter, an incredible person, and the absolute best friend you could ever ask for.
A terrible loss to JKA Ireland and Clondalkin.
Stephen will always be remembered, an missed by those close to him.

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of our friend Stephen O'Connor who died at home surrounded by family on the 15th of May.

Stephen was the very first member of our club when it was established in 2009, and has always been the most dedicated.
He has traveled all over Europe fighting for his country and spreading his positive outlook on life with everyone he met.

He was a great coach, mentor and friend to everyone.
You will be missed Stephen, rest in peace.

Unfortunately due to the Orange weather warning the Knockmitten Community Centre is closed this evening, and as a result Karate is cancelled.

We have a new 7 week term starting from today until Christmas.

Kids Class at 6pm is €45 for the Term

Regular class Junior or Senior is €60 for the term.

Our club is still open this week, even with the mid term break.

Tuesdays and Thursdays.
6pm - Ages 4 - 6
6.30pm -All ages and grades.
Senior classes returning soon.

We have a 7 week term starting November 4th.
For the junior class, 6 - 6.30pm, the 7 week term is only €45.

For the regular classes, 7 weeks is €60, but registered members get a discount.

We are a non profit club registered as a community group with SDCC.
First class is Free.

Reminder to all that there is no karate tonight as the centre is closed. It's being used as a polling station for elections tomorrow. Sorry about that.

All grades from 6.30 - 7.30pm
