Cycling Ireland BMX Commission The Cycling Ireland BMX Commission is the governing body of ‘BMX Racing’ on the island of Ireland.

The Cycling Ireland BMX Commission operates under the auspices of the National Federation, Cycling Ireland, and is governed by its Procedures, Rules, Ethics and Codes of Conduct. The Cycling Ireland BMX Commission will proactively engage in all operational, developmental, technical, promotional and governance of BMX Racing in Ireland. The Commission will be known as Cycling Ireland BMX Commission.

Huge congratulations to all the riders who took part in Round 3 of the BMX National Series at Ratoath BMX ! 👏🔥

Rain held off (just about) for the first-time racers to seasoned competitors. The effort and determination on display throughout the day was incredible to see. The track was buzzing with energy, and every rider should be proud of their performance and commitment out on the track.

A massive thank you to our host club Ratoath Bmx and to all the Volunteers, Race officials, parents, and supporters who helped make the event such a success. Events like this wouldn’t happen without the amazing BMX volunteers behind them.

Well done everyone — onwards to the next round in Cork Bmx club next month ! 🚴💨🇮🇪

*An Important Message from the Chief Commissaire, Race Director & Race Promoter*

In advance of tomorrow's National Race Event, we are asking all competitors, parents, and guardians to be mindful of the adverse weather conditions forecast for the duration of Round 3 at Ratoath Bmx club.

The safety of all riders and spectators is our priority, so we ask that all attendees at Ratoath BMX track take appropriate measures to ensure their own well-being both on and off the track. Riders must be mindful that the track surface may be affected by rain and riding technique may require adaptation. Spectators are asked not to approach, scale, climb or attempt to stand on any viewing surface, which would be deemed unsafe and hazardous. The only safe viewing areas are those approved & marked by the Race Promoters.

In the interests of rider safety, the race officials reserve the right to expedite the event should weather windows present and/or delay races should heavy rainfall present. The Chief Commissaire, Race Director and Race Promoters Ratoath BMX Club thank you for your understanding and co-operation.

Please see below time schedule for tomorrow's event, but please keep in mind that this schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions

➡️Club opens at 9.30am for Gazebo set up (vehicles dropping off gazebos to stay parked at pump track)

➡️Registration from 11am - 12.30pm. Please do not go onto track until you have registered. Rental transponders will be given out at registration

➡️Track opens at 11am for practice
Open practice 11am - 11.30am
12 and Under gate practice - 11.30am - 12 noon
13 and Over gate practice 12 - 12.30pm

Racing to start at 1pm

Prize giving straight after finals

Couple of reminders

➡️TRANSPONDERS ⬇️
Please make sure that your subscription has been renewed and valid and you have sufficient battery. If you have a new transponder please make sure its activated. Please don't wait until the morning of the event to do this as it just causes delays. If you are new to Bmx Racing we have a limited amount of rental transponders that can be hired at registration on the morning of the event for a small fee.

➡️NUMBER PLATES⬇️
All riders MUST display number plates on front and side of their bikes NO EXCEPTIONS. Number plates are used to identify riders with race marshalls in pens, gates and on track.
NB any riders racing in UK please make sure to have your Irish number displayed. No plate, No race, No exceptions!!!

➡️PRACTICE ⬇️
Club will have open practice Friday 5th from 7pm to 8:30pm and Saturday 6th from 1pm to 4pm where everyone is welcome. All riders MUST sign in using the QR code at the track. There is no charge for non-members at the Saturday session.

➡️GAZEBOS/TEAM TENTS ⬇️
Gazebos can be put up on Sunday morning. Gates will be open at 9.30am. All vans dropping gazebos to stay parked at back of track beside pump track. Club committee members will be on site and will guide you to area to set up, please be courteous to volunteers. Space is limited so please make room for everyone
