Hard luck to Sarah Lilly Byrne and Mason Harris today in the National cadet finals. Both giving great accounts of themselves 👏

Overall we had 7 entries to these cadet championsips and come away with 2 champions and loads of experience.

A few decisions we felt should have gone our way with Victoria Nic An Bhaird last week and also with Evan Prunty on Saturday.

Rhys Kinsella lost to the eventual champion in a close contest with Rhys also being the year younger and Mason Harris losing with a dodgy call by the referee in the third round also boxing against the current Irish champion from a year older after three brilliant rounds of highly competitive boxing.

Sarah Lilly losing against a good Irish champion, not the finish we wanted to the great run she has been on with National and four nations gold but great experience for her over the past few months.

Brilliant work by Rian Branagan and Danielle Smithers on becoming cadet champions 🥇

Now rest is on the cards, it's been a very busy year of boxing and everyone needs recovery and we will come back stronger for the new season.

Well done to everyone, boxers and coaches. A brilliant effort by all and the support over the weekend for the boxers has been brilliant. Well done to everyone.
