I'm a certified personal trainer, fitness instructor, and the owner of Good Vibe Fitness. I just want to tell you a bit about myself and my mission. I started this gym to provide a space for those who don't like commercial gyms, who are struggling with weight issues, and who are self-conscious, so that they have a fitness space to come to that they can feel comfortable in. A place where they will
not be judged or feel like others are looking at and judging them. This is not a gym for people with big egos and those who like to spend their time taking selfies, so if that is what you are into, then this isn't the place for you. For as long as I can remember, I have struggled with my own weight. A few years ago, my weight ballooned to 103.5 kg (16 stone, 3 pounds). I had high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I couldn't look at myself in the mirror. I knew I had to do something before my health got any worse, so I took the plunge and joined a small private gym and started doing small group personal training, and with time and consistency, the hard work paid off. Taking these steps to get my life and fitness back on track has been life-changing. I discovered that working out on a regular basis is not only good for you physically, but it also has a massively positive effect on your mental health. Having the support of working out in a group really enhances everything. I have spent the last few years focusing on both my physical and mental health and educating myself so that I can help others. I want to help people get started on their fitness journeys so that they can rest easier knowing I've been there and understand what they're going through.
