Well, that’s it. AUL season’s over. Kaput. Right when we were getting into our stride (we weren’t).
It may look sugarcoated but plain and simply, what an absolute disaster. Things started well with trainings and some results, but things unravelled and well, we were out of our depth! Shoutout Luiz Redoglia, who was without a doubt our most passionate player (who also ended up with no minutes), shoutout Darndale who gave us a 0-7 reality check (we had 5 wingers on and no 6), shoutout Tadhg who finished as our top scorer, shoutout Chris Murphy for putting in the graft when we needed him (unfortunately in any position), shoutout the refs who keep Specsavers and Anger Management classes in business, shoutout the many fine well accomplished groundsmen across the league for the absolute carpets we got to grace, shoutout Evan and Conor who may never walk again (or something), shoutout all the dropouts within an hour of kickoff (big help).
But look, we gave it a shot, learned many lessons, and now, we return to where our bread was buttered. Pity how things went considering how competitive we were in many of those games, but Hill isn’t about all that serious bu****it, let’s go back to the comedic bu****it.
