Quit saying "My kid just isn't sporty".

We've been brought up to think that some kids just "have it" when it comes to sport, and others don't. It's just not true.

For sure, there are kids with natural athletic gifts. Speed or height. Maybe some slightly better hand-eye coordination. But most kids we think of as gifted just have a love for a sport. We hear stories of kids born with a hurl in his hand" or "the ball at his feet". We confuse talent for lots of practice!

And then there are kids who it seems just don't like to do sports. In our experience, they just haven't found the one that fits yet. Martial Arts often fills that gap, allowing previously "not sporty2 kids to find their feet in a sport that they can train individually.

For us, there's no age, no body type. no height, no weight, no restrictions. Jiu Jitsu suits everyone.

Our belt tests were on all week. An amazing chance to give out stripes and belts to our Youth Athletes.
A stripe on your belt signifies progress.
A new belt colour signifies moving on to a new level of training.
But no matter what, we also want to show every kid that training is fun, being with your friends is a big part of it, and working and sweating together as a group is awesome!
