Today was an incredible day at Drumlish Inclusive Sports Club! 🙌

We kicked off with a dynamic handball session led by our fantastic tutor, Jenny Mahon🏐

Then, we found our calm and balance with adaptive yoga guided by the amazing Emeline from The Colourful Yogini🧘‍♀️

We were also thrilled to be joined by Ballinamuck Longford Enterprise Group, who came out to support us and share their amazing project 💡

All of this is possible due to the funding received by Healthy Longford, Healthy Ireland, Pobal, and Longford County Council, along with our very generous sponsors.

A massive thank you to Michelle Brady & Niamh Lawlor for facilitating sessions today on Gaelic, mixed sports and Arts & Crafts!! 🙌👏

Lots of energy, smiles and community spirit!

We are delighted to welcome Ballinamuck Longford Community Enterprise Group (Ballinamuck Essert Twinning) to our next session on 30th May - pictured here are the Secretary of the group Ann Carthy

We concluded today with our AGM with all our officers remaining and welcomed Tish, Emily, Niamh and Michelle to our committee!

Today marks a year since we formed our committee to bring inclusive sports to Drumlish!

Since then lots of hard work, commitment and dedication has went into the development of our club to bring our vision to life 🌟🙌

We are busy applying for funding, engaging with sponsors, scoping out a variety of tutors and constantly planning to bring inclusion and fun for our wonderful young people.

We are back this Saturday 16th May in Drumlish Community Centre, 10 - 10:45 am (5-9 years) and 11 - 11:45am (9 years plus) followed by a short AGM - all welcome!

If you know any young person with additional needs between the age of 5-18 and they want to join you can email [email protected] Similarly, if you are involved in sports and would like to support us with coaching etc or if you would like to sponsor our club, please do reach out!

PS. Wishing our lovely Chairperson Theresa Gearty Kane a happy birthday! 🎂🎉

Easter Holidays!!! 🐣

Our friends over in Longford Sports Partnership
have an Inclusion Athletics Easter camp commencing this Wednesday at Longford Athletics Club under the watchful eyes of LSP Tutors Sarah & Madeline.

They have a couple of places left for children aged 5-12 years at 12.15-13.00 (3 places) & for teens aged 13-15 years at 13.00-13.45 (4 places).
