We have just one scheduled league fixture this weekend, with our U14s taking on Trim Celtic away on Saturday morning.

Ahead of the game everyone at Moneymore FC would like to congratulate our U14s and their Coaches Baz and Steo, on the fantastic season that they have had. The players and Coaches have put in blood, sweat and tears to get themselves into the position where the right result on Saturday will seal the Division 3 title.

No matter the result at full-time, we are extremely proud of you all for what you've already achieved 🩵

We wish you the very best of luck. Go out there and give it your all 💪🏻

U14s - East Meath Utd 5 - 2 Moneymore

Moneymore travelled to East Meath this morning for their U14 Major Shield clash, with the home side making the brighter start and taking the lead after 10 minutes.

Moneymore responded strongly and were unlucky not to level on several occasions before Muhammad finally restored parity with 10 minutes of the first half remaining.

The opening 15 minutes of the second half were scrappy, before East Meath again took the lead. Moneymore showed great character to respond again, with Roman finding the net a few minutes later to make it 2–2.

With 10 minutes remaining, East Meath moved in front for a third time. Moneymore continued to chase the game, but in the closing stages East Meath managed to add two further late goals to secure a 5–2 victory.

A disappointing result for Moneymore, but the scoreline doesn't tell the whole story and there are plenty of positives to take from a game in which the lads showed good fight and determination.

Moneymore Navy vs Laytown United

Our U11 Navy team hosted Laytown United this morning and the two sides produced a very entertaining game, with plenty of skill and passion on show.

Moneymore impressed with some excellent attacking passages of play - super dribbling, passing and shooting. Our goalkeepers and defenders also excelled with their saves, tackling and marking 👏🏻

The coaches and parents are very pleased with the performance from our young players as they continue to learn and to improve in their first season together as a group 💪🏻

We would like to thank Laytown United for the game and wish them the best for the rest of the season 🤝🏻

Saturday 5th September
U10s - Moneymore vs East Meath United Tigers

Our U10s produced a solid team display today at home against East Meath United Tigers. All the lads worked hard throughout and applied pressure on the away team.

There were some very positive displays from some of our newer players - Alexander, Armour, Ethan, Evan and Rocco all did really well 💪🏻 Jamie and Sean showed their class today, but our star performer was Allister who took a couple of goals very well and also chipped in with a couple of assists. He worked very hard throughout and drove the team forward 👏🏻

The game became a little high tempered towards the end but Moneymore stayed focused on the footballing side of things and we go home today very pleased with our all-round performance 💪🏻 Well done lads ⚽️

Amongst the goals today were Allister, Callum, John, and Jamie

Saturday 5th September
U9s - Moneymore vs DTFC Ospreys

Well done to our U9s on a very good morning of football. The boys carried on where they left off last week, this time putting in some very strong performances all over the pitch at home against Drogheda Town Ospreys.

The most pleasing thing today was seeing the boys put into practice what we've been learning over the season in terms of understanding that football is a team sport, and that working hard for each other brings good results 💪🏻

We're proud of all of our players for today and for their recent performances, keep this up 🩵

Best of luck to DTFC Ospreys for the remainder of the season 🤝🏻

⚽🩵 WE’RE LOOKING FOR NEW COACHES! 🩵⚽

Moneymore FC are looking at forming our first ever girls team, ideally for girls aged 8–9 — but this can't happen without volunteers. We’d love to hear from anyone who might be interested in helping to make it possible.

🙎‍♂️🙎‍♀️ Male or female coaches welcome
🙌 No previous coaching experience needed
🛡️ Full support from the club, including guidance through safeguarding and Garda vetting
⚽ Most importantly — a focus on fun, resilience, learning new skills and being part of a safe, positive team environment.

You don’t need to have all the answers or know exactly where to start. If you’re interested, get in touch with the club and let’s have a chat.

We are excited about this being the start of something new for our club, and we’d love to see what we can build together 🩷
