Congratulations to Tadhg Donnelly on his selection to the Athletics Ireland National Endurance Group for 2026 πŸ‘

Tadhg has been named among a select group of Ireland's top endurance athletes after another outstanding year of performances. His inclusion in the Tier 1 Men's 10K/XC squad is a fitting recognition of the hard work, dedication and consistency he continues to show both in training and competition.

The National Endurance Group brings together some of Ireland's leading distance runners and provides access to training camps, performance support and high-performance coaching as athletes prepare for national and international competition.

Everyone at Drogheda & District AC is incredibly proud of Tadhg's achievement and we wish him every success as part of the programme in the year ahead.

Congratulations Tadhg! πŸ‘

A busy weekend of Leinster Championship action continued for DDAC, with more strong performances, personal bests and another medal-winning display from our juvenile athletes πŸ‘

Lucy Russell produced a fantastic performance to claim a Leinster bronze medal, recording a new personal best throw of 22 metres πŸ₯‰

In the Girls U14 800m, Yasaman Nuri ran an excellent 2:40.34 in her heat to qualify for the Leinster final, where she went on to finish 11th overall in a highly competitive field.

There was another strong run in the Girls U16 800m from Clodagh Johnson, who clocked 2:38.97 to finish 9th in her semi-final.

Dearbhla Johnson continued her busy championship season in the U14 60m Hurdles, producing a new personal best of 11.95 seconds to finish 4th in her heat.

With a Leinster medal, personal bests and final appearances, it was another positive day for DDAC's juvenile athletes, who continue to represent the club proudly at provincial level.

Congratulations to Lucy, Yasaman, Clodagh and Dearbhla on their performances πŸ‘
