Ready to start playing, get back into tennis or take your game to the next level?

Our new 7-week Adult Tennis Term at Elm Park Golf & Sports Club begins Monday, 7 September — with sessions for beginners, rusty racquets, intermediate players and experienced club players.

You don’t need to be an Elm Park member to join us! 🙌

Whether you’re picking up a racket for the first time, returning after a break or looking for structured coaching and competitive matchplay, there’s a session for you.

Could this be where their love of tennis begins? 🎾❤️

At 6–8 years old, tennis should be about much more than perfect technique.

It should be about running onto court excited, making friends, learning new skills, building confidence — and wanting to come back next week.

That’s exactly what our Red & Orange Ball Programme is designed to do.

Using smaller courts, slower balls and age-appropriate equipment, we make tennis easier for young players to learn and, most importantly, fun from the very beginning.

No previous tennis experience? Absolutely fine. 🙌

And you do not need to be a member of Elm Park to join our programme — our junior coaching is open to everyone. 🎾

Our coaches will help each child learn at their own pace in a positive, encouraging environment where they can:

🎾 Learn to rally and play
⚡ Develop movement & coordination
💪 Build confidence
🤝 Make friends
🧠 Learn through games and challenges
❤️ Develop a genuine love of sport

And while they’re learning tennis, they’re developing skills that can stay with them far beyond the court.

🎾 AUTUMN JUNIOR TENNIS IS OPEN!

Summer has flown by and we can’t wait to get everyone back on court at Elm Park! 🙌

Bookings are now open for our Autumn Junior Tennis Programme, with sessions for players from 6–17 years old — from those just starting their tennis journey through to our older juniors and squad players.

Our aim is pretty simple: make tennis fun, help every player improve and keep them progressing. 🎾

We have:

🔴 Red Development
🟠 Orange Development
🟢 Green Development
🎾 U12/13 Development
🎾 U14 & U16 Development
🏆 Orange, Green, U12/13, U14/U16 & 15–17 Squad Programmes

There are plenty of different days and times available throughout the week, but some of our most popular groups fill up quickly, so if you have a particular day in mind, we’d recommend getting booked in early.

🏆 A quick note on squads: our Squad Programme is invitation only. If you’re unsure which group is right for your child, just drop Matt or Martin a message and we’ll happily point you in the right direction.

🎾 Our Junior Player Pathway
We often get asked by parents, “What’s the next step for my child?”

So we’ve put together our Evolve Player Pathway to make things a little clearer.

From Red Ball at 6 & 7, through Orange, Green and into our U12, U14 and U16 programmes, the idea is simple — to give every player somewhere to learn, improve and enjoy their tennis as they grow.

We also know that not every child wants the same thing from their tennis.

Some simply want to play, improve, have fun and enjoy being on court with their friends. Others really catch the bug and want to train more, play matches and start competing.

That’s why we have both our Development and Squad pathways, with Squad places being by invitation from our coaching team.

There’s no rush through the pathway. We want players in the group that’s right for them, where they’re enjoying their tennis, being challenged and continuing to improve.

And with that in mind…

We’re really looking forward to getting everyone back on court for another great term.

We’re proud to be hosting the Dublin ATP Challenger 75 at Elm Park, welcoming world-ranked players, rising stars, and tennis fans from across Ireland and beyond.

As the first ATP Challenger event held on Irish soil in almost two decades, this tournament marks a major milestone for the sport in Ireland. Taking place on our grass courts just ahead of Wimbledon qualifying, it offers players a vital opportunity to fine-tune their game while giving fans the chance to experience world-class tennis right here in Dublin.

The importance of rhythm in the tennis serve cannot be emphasized enough! 👌

Rhythm
is the heartbeat of a successful serve, dictating the flow, timing, and coordination of every motion. It’s the seamless integration of fluid movements that allows players to generate power, accuracy, and consistency in their serves. 4 B

Furthermore, rhythm plays a crucial role in timing the ball toss, racquet swing, and weight transfer. It allows players to synchronize these elements effortlessly, ensuring that each component of the serve works in unison. By mastering the art of rhythm, players can generate maximum power and propel the ball with optimal force and accuracy.
