Seniors: There was disappointment for the seniors on Friday evening as they slipped to a narrow defeat at home to Eire Og. Playing with a strong wind in the first half Donaghmoyne took an early lead when Josh Wilson found the back of the net, and despite squandering a number of further chances to raise the green flag Donaghmoyne lead by 10 points at half time with points from Aaron Courtney, Conor Burns, Gareth McDonald and Christopher Cunningham along with a brace from David Kerley and 3 points from Stephen Finnegan.
The opening score of the second half came from Niall Keenan as Donaghmoyne moved 11 clear but from that point on Eire Og started to get a foothold in the game. Two goals and two points in a 3 minute spell from the visitors cut the Fontenoys lead to 3, which was extended to 6 when Conor Burns converted a penalty in the 48th minute. A series of Eire Og two pointers drew the sides level with 7 minutes to play, a Stephen Finnegan free edged Donaghmoyne ahead but another 2 pointer from the visitors moved Eire Og 1 ahead with time almost up. Donaghmoyne pushed for an equalizer in extra time but their last effort came up short. Final Score 2-11 to 2-12.
