It’s beginning to look a lot like…🎄

After a 2 year C-word break, we’re reintroducing the happy C-word Stephen’s Day Football kickaround 11h00 on the Astro* at Ballymastone.

This fun event is open to all members (and Alexis MacAllister) over 18 who either wanna play along or enjoy a nice hot toddy from the sideline.

We’ve never had such a strong adult section in the Club and it’s wonderful to be able to run this again.

Clear your head, meet up with your pals and fill your lungs with fresh air on Stephen’s Day morning.

🎅🏼🤶🏻 See you there 🤶🏻🎅🏼

* don’t forget the proper Astro boots

We know you'll see loads of images from MAI20 this week but this one means so much to us.
LGFA numbers in Pats have been increasing year-on-year thanks to the tireless work of the mentors, players, parents & Exec committee.
This year for the first time in the Club's history, we're holding a separate LGFA competition for our girls to enjoy.
Later this week, we'll be launching our flag which we were delighted to have been awarded last year. It was the culmination of a huge amount of work - work which makes tremendously !

Huge thanks to Ian J Maher photography for this fabulous photo of Ballymastone this afternoon.

As one-eyed Pats People, we love our home ground even on a cold wet winter’s day but there really is something special about the place on a sunny summer day 😎.

We’re counting off the days till we’re all back in action at our hallowed grounds but we can’t forget all the work that continues behind the scenes. Ní neart go cur le cheile 🥰

StPatsGAA & St. Ita's AFC in accordance with the Government’s directions, have closed their facilities at Ballymastone. All of our members have been staying away from Ballymastone.

Over the past week, there has been an increase in non-members coming onto our facilities. Even this morning (Saturday 28 March 2020) several non-member teenagers were present.

When approached and asked to leave they were happy to do so but highlighted that they did not know the facilities were closed.

The clubs request that all members and non-members stay away and if parents could ask their children to stay away.

The clubs would also like to remind the community that the facilities are member owned and maintained.

While both clubs are always happy to accept new members, the pitches, fields and facilities are private property.

We would ask the community, particularly dog walkers, to respect our facilities and not to trespass. Unfortunately, we have had a persistent problem with dog dirt over recent years which is a serious threat to the health of our younger members.

Both clubs thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We wish you and your families well during these extraordinary times.

⚠️ We usually post a warning this time of year in regard to teenagers cycling up to Ballymastone ⚠️
However tonight we got 3 panicked calls in space of minutes about near-misses with a gentleman jogging down Ballymastone Lane. He was dressed in black with no hi-vis gear on & head phones in!

Please take caution driving down the lane. Dusk falls quickly these days.
If you or your children are walking/running/cycling to Ballymastone, please wear hi-vis vests.
Fingal County Council have hi-vis available on request. RoadSafety.ie
