First show of the year🥊
BCF goes 3–1 on Friday Night Fights.
First up we had young Roper making his long-awaited debut. A composed performance and a strong decision win. Exactly what we expected — now it’s time to keep building that experience.
Next up was Cal. A bit of drama before this one. His original opponent pulled out the night before weigh-ins to step in as a late replacement for an amateur MMA title fight without informing the promotion. Luckily we spotted it ourselves.
Fair play to Thomas for stepping in late. We knew he would be a tough opponent and there would be a noticeable weight difference.
Cal started well but was dropped early. He beat the count. Moments later he was counted again but managed to survive the round. After a quick word in the corner he came out like a demon in round two — landing clean shots and turning the fight around to win by TKO.
Next was ID in his second show fight. Another step up in opposition. The two lads battled hard but ID landed the more damaging shots and secured the decision.
Last up was Josh in his second C-Class bout, serving as the main event. He faced a very talented opponent from one of the best gyms in the country. A real clash of styles and a strong contender for fight of the night. Josh’s opponent edged the decision this time.
Huge thanks to our corner and backroom team. For a small club like ours it’s not easy having four lads competing. Thanks to Vadim and Conor for their help on the night.
A special thank you to our loyal BCF supporters who show up to every event and make themselves heard no matter the result⚫🔵
And finally thanks to Anto, Cian and the Warriors team for having us on the show. Always fair matchmaking and always exciting fights👏
Let’s keep this year active 👊
