🚨Scores On The Doors🚨

So the chapter closes on the Dublin swing as the lads fought it out on the fabulous Beaverstown Golf Club!

Some of the lads saw more of the beautiful orchard trees than the fairways and greens but everyone made it home safe.

While The bruises of Corballis might still be visible, there’s one man who relishes the challenge Donabate Golf Courses throw at him.. back to back wins means is firmly in the driving seat as we approach the last 2 outings!

Mr.Donabate 2022 carded a tidy 37 points to take home the W, along with the long drive! There must something in the air in Donabate that Mr.Cashman likes.

🚨 Groups Announcement 🚨

With the scars of Corballis nearly fully healed the Cats head back to the unofficial home of golf, Co.Donabate, to tee it up at the beautiful Beaverstown Golf Club.

Having featured on the Scauldy Cats Calander back in the summer of 2020, it’s a course the lads should be fairly familiar with as we close out the North Dublin Swing.

A simply beautiful parkland golf course with a unique design and excellent sand-based greens. The course is laid out on 132 acres that includes 20 acres of mature apple trees and borders the shores of Rogerstown estuary and nature reserve.

We are firmly in the business end of the golfing season now, a few good rounds could see someone propel themselves to the top of the pile.

Stay tuned for some fast and loose swings on the stories over the weekend..

🏆 Leaderboard Update 🏆

As we approach our 7th outing of the year here is a FedUp Cup leaderboard update.

With just 3 outings left to play it’s stick or twist for some of the lads as they look to make a final charge.

Lots of practice has been put in over the last few weeks with lads choosing the driving range over the bar stool, but will it show on the course?

The final leg of the Dublin Swing sees the Cats take on a traditional parkland which might suit some of the high ball flight players among the tour.

Be sure to keep an eye on the page next week for some fine looking golf swings.

That’s the first course of the North Dublin swing in the bag as the Tour took on Ireland’s hidden Gem .

Sleepless nights leading up to the link test might look a bit premature looking at the scores, however Corballis played tame and toothless with not much wind.

It was always going to take true ball striker to prevail on the day, a man who hits irons off tees for fun.. who takes no s**t, a man like .

We lost a few good souls out there, some men who knew no fescue like it.. their first links experience was one to forget.. alas the scores are more respectable than we would have ever thought!

🏆 Leaderboard Update 🏆

With 5 outings in the books the FedUp Cup 2022 leaderboard is starting to take shape.

With plenty of golf still to play for it’ll be interesting to see if the lads at the top of the pile begin to crumble as the pressure mounts… 👀

The North Dublin swing is up next as the players face some familiar courses.

First up is a true links test, fast greens, blind tee shots, fescue rough.. we may well lose some men out there, and credibility but it’s a risk we are willing to take…

We are off to put some weight behind the black stuff down in Mount Juliet to cheer on Lowry and Power ☘️!

🚨Scores On The Doors🚨

The Battle At Elm… 🌳💨

The society took on today and boy did she show her teeth.. tricky pin positions and winds gusting up to 30km/h made conditions extremely difficult.. a low ball flight required.

With only 1 out of 12 drives hitting the first fairway, the boys knew they were in for a gruelling round!

The day had it all, chip ins, birdies, eagles, broken brollys and blocked toilets 👀!

The bonus points when to Mr.Wavin jocks himself who managed to pick up the longest drive, nearest the pin and the back 9 prize, while took the front 9!

After some deliberation over the score cards it was as a level par round which took the spoils on the day!

🚨Group Announcement🚨

Death, taxes and the Scauldy Cats teeing it up at - This Saturday the Cats tee it up on the beautiful, immaculately kept 18 hole parkland course nestled in the leafy suburbs of Dublin 15.

A staple fixture on the Scauldy Cats calendar each year, Elmgreen provides a mature test on tree lined fairways and magnificent views of the Dublin Mountains.

If history is anything to go by the previous scores at Elmgreen creep into the 40 point mark so it may take an excellent round of golf from the pack to be victorious come Saturday evening.

Keep an eye on the page for some wonderful swings this weekend.

🚨Scores on the doors🚨

An eventual day in the books as the Cats close out the Wicklow swing out with an afternoon at Rathsallagh Golf Club.

The course demanded an array of shot making off the tees to position yourself to attack the greens, all in all a fantastic course, highly recommended from the Cats.

For the host, the day couldn’t have gotten off to a worse start as he battled a puncture in the carpark before a shot was even hit… to be fair.. we should be docking him points for how bald his tires were, appalling.

However, The day belonged to the little big man, Mr Worldwide himself .conor89 - he navigated his way round the parkland course with poise on his way to his first ever Scauldy Cat Tournament victory.

The next outing will see all funds raised going towards new car tyres for Mr.Smith.

🚨Group Announcement 🚨

What more could you want.. it’s major week, Tiger is back, Rory has finally had a good first round in a major.. and the Cats are back!

The challenge that lies ahead is - This beautiful course, built to championship standard, routed over rolling terrain and with a number of burns, ditches and ponds that bring water into play on several holes, the lake balls will be out in force tomorrow.

With the golfing season in full flow these next few months will be vital for lads to get some well needed points.. or pints on the board.

The near 4 / 5 hour golf round will team up nicely with a 8 hour couch session to watch day 2 of the US PGA.. Honn Lowry!

🚨Leaderboard Update🚨

The update that you didn’t know you needed in your life.

With the season well and truly under way the leaderboard is starting to take shape.

Baby Commitments off the course has forced some members hands in terms of attendance - with lads finding it difficult to get the permission slips signed off to get out of the house for the 8 hours that we know a round takes.. right lads 😉

With the North Dublin swing of courses due to start in June it’ll be interesting to see if some lads can put a run together.
