The games keep getting tougher and tougher for the boys from gmit but they have overcome every challenge yet. The game started very fast with Josh Marvesley getting the first few scores for gmit, he would go on to score 23 points for the Falcons which helped in the teams efforts to beat the strong team from Dundalk. The game was neck and neck through out with each team averaging around twenty points a quarter. Dundalk won the second quarter even though Martin Torres scored some tough contested baskets against taller and bigger opposition. GMIT had some ground to make up in the third. It was the point guard who stepped up in the third quarter Keighlum Ledwith scoring threes left, right and centre which brought the game back on to level terms. Some fresh legs and change of formation with James Leigh,David Whoriskey and Emmanuel Ohagwu playing tough defence and quick offence GMIT dominated the fourth quarter. Kevin Maloney controlled the paint taking down some vital rebounds and Oskar Mrozik scored from various areas on the court, from important threes to crucial lay-ups!! All Players have given so much this season and have made it to a much deserved All-Ireland final next Wednesday !! Another huge win for GMIT senior men’s team!!!

Here they go again with their biggest challenge yet !!! GMIT men’s team are in some unstoppable form lately, topping their group and playing some really attractive basketball. Next up they have an All-Ireland Semi-Final against Dundalk IT. It’s gonna be a very exciting and tough game for the lads but if they give 110% like they have been doing lately they’ll be walking away with another W and have a place in the final !!!

🚨 Game-Day 🚨

We have an exciting matchup today as our women’s team and men’s team face off Sligo IT in Renmore.
Women’s Tip-off
Men’s Tip-off

Despite only being a friendly game for our men, this promises to be an entertaining game with our GMIT side missing some key pieces due to unfortunate injuries.
The D1 side, Sligo IT are also missing some key players, but are determined to put on a show.
This is one not to be missed, as our lads begin to prepare for the All-Ireland’s.
Best of luck to our women and men.
All support welcome
