Mervue United AFC was formed in 1960 by a small group of Mervue locals. The club has grown from then to be one of the biggest in the West of Ireland and fields over 25 teams in both male and female Galway District League competitions and Connacht and national FAI and SFAI competitions. The club's Junior A team play in the Premier Division of the Galway Distr

ict League, while the Junior B team play in the First Division. The club celebrated it's 50th anniversary in the 2010/11 season. Galway Premier Division Champions 2010/11, 2011/12, 2012/13 and 2013/14. U17 FAI Cup Winners 2020, U18 FAI Youth Cup Winners 2019

Our senior ladies team played out a hard fought scoreless draw with Athenry Ladies in their opening league game of the new season on the main pitch at Fahy's Field on Sunday afternoon.
Another tight evenly contested competitive game between these two sides ended in yet another draw.

Our U12 Girls squad had a great win over Knocknacarra FC this morning at Fahy's Field.

Scorers on the day were Lily-Rose Conroy, Hana F***j Gheziel, Anna Connolly and Lauren Hynes.

Great squad performance and our U11 girls got plenty of game time in the game also.
