UK Sailmakers Ireland McWilliam Sailmakers started 43 years ago to bring the very latest technology to Irish sailors. We quickly took over the lead in their R&D programme.

Our customers enjoyed local and international success assisted by excellent sail design and technology. Eighteen years ago we joined the UK Sails group to make use of their sailmaking patent. Des McWilliam became president of UK International, the parent company of the UK Sailmakers group, which has nearly 50 lofts around the world. While the group has made sails for the last two Chinese America’s

Cup campaigns, we are just as happy to work on cruising sails for local sailors! The same team of Des, Cleo, Marcie and Graham will continue to service customers from the Crosshaven sail loft. So when you talk to us you're getting the benefit of years of experience and the best technology.

Winter weather doesn’t always cooperate… 🌧️

Over the past couple of weeks, some extra-large sails have arrived soaking wet, and the team at the loft has been keeping the big boat clothesline busy, drying them out before they head off to TipTop Sail Laundry. 🧼🚚

Our final wash basket of the season is on its way, ensuring these customers will have clean sails for the spring season!
