Well done to Conor Browning who proudly represented both Galway and our local area in the U14 Hurdles at the National Community Games Track & Field Finals in Carlow over the weekend.

Conor faced some very strong competition and produced a fantastic performance to progress through the heats and earn a place in the semi-finals — a brilliant achievement at a national event.

While his journey ended in the semi-finals this year, the experience will be invaluable. Conor was one of the younger athletes in the competition and will be eligible to compete in the same age category again next year.

We are incredibly proud of Conor and the way in which he represented Galway and our community.
