Our U10 boys played in a county semi final this morning again Dunmore. They displayed plenty of skills and determination, but despite this, they lost out to Dunmore.

We are very grateful to the players, coaches and supporters. Thank you to Dunmore who hosted us and best of luck to them as they progress to the final.

Well done Charlie ! 🥉

A huge congratulations to Charlie Gibbons on his fantastic performance at the Galway Community Games, where he claimed an impressive 3rd place in the U12 600m and secured qualification for the Connacht Community Games Finals.

Charlie always arrives at training with a smile on his face and a positive attitude. He works hard throughout every session, gives his best effort, and is constantly looking to improve. His commitment and enthusiasm are a great example to his teammates and coaches alike.

His podium finish is a well-deserved reward for the dedication he shows week after week, and everyone at Castlegar Athletics Club is delighted to see his hard work paying off.

Well done to all the boys and girls who travelled to Gort yesterday with their parents for the Athletics county finals . It was a fantastic day on both track and field . Some got past the heats to semi and finals !!
There were competitors from U8 to U14. Lots of experience gained for all.
There were four relay teams . The U10 mixed relay team made the final to finish 5th.
While the U12 girls U12 boys teams ran well.
The U13 mixed relay team ran a great race to finish third !

Well done to those who medalled .

Hard luck to the under 12 girls team who lost out to Annaghdown yesterday evening . In windy conditons , it wasn’t easy . These girls kept trying right to the end . These girls are a young crew with some able to play next year also .
