2027 INTERNATIONAL CAMPAIGN — Pickleball Ireland
With our year not yet completed, we are already planning for next year, which is going to be an exciting one in relation to our international participation, as we are scheduled to compete in two very significant international tournaments in 2027 — the European Pickleball Championships and the Pickleball World Cup.
The locations of these have yet to be announced; however, this year's Pickleball World Cup is taking place in Vietnam in September.
In preparing for these tournaments, the Pickleball Ireland Selection Committee has been considerably enhanced to accommodate the work around planning and scheduling of panel clinics and sessions in preparation for the national team selections.
We are delighted to announce that Howard Castillo has joined the Selection Committee to work alongside Tom Brady, the committee chair, and Graham Mustoe. In addition, both our national team captains, Heidi McCune and Bobby Fitzpatrick, have also very kindly volunteered to join the Committee to provide their very valuable experience having represented Ireland in the last two European Championships.
We would like to thank everyone for their support and encouragement, and we wish them well as we prepare for a very interesting international campaign in 2027.
