Cork Backpackers Hillwalking Club  -  www.corkbackpackers.ie The club is based in Cork city and organizes different grades of hill walks to suit all levels of ab onwards. All are welcome.

The club is based in Cork city and organises different grades of hill walks to suit all levels of ability every fortnight. New Walkers are welcome to join us for a trial walk by booking online or in Counihan's Pub, Winthrop Street, Cork on Wednesday’s from 9.00pm. On bank holiday weekends the club organises weekends away to enable members to climb mountain ranges throughout Ireland. The main focus

of the Club is hill-walking, although various members are also involved in other activities such as cycling, orienteering, rock climbing, kayaking and camping. The Club meets in Counihan's Pub, Pembroke Street, Cork on the Wednesday before the hillwalk from about 9:00 p.m. Sunday Walk Meeting Point

Join us for our hill walk on Sunday, July 28th to the McGillicuddy Reeks and Purple|Tomies Mountain. We are planning three levels of hill walks (“D” Easy Walk, “C” Moderate Walk and “B” Strenuous Walk). Each hill walk will take different routes in the same general area.

New Walkers are always welcome to join us for a trial hill walk before deciding to join the club. First-time walkers must sign up in person in Counihan's Pub, Pembroke Street, Cork from 9.00pm on the Wednesday preceding the hill walk.
