Our aim is simple: bring clubs together, give competitors plenty of opportunity to compete and create a tournament atmosphere that is safe, competitive, welcoming and enjoyable for everyone.

A Weekend of Taekwon-Do in West Cork

On Saturday, 27 June, I had the honour of teaching a seminar for the black belt candidates and colour belts of Warrior Martial Arts Taekwon-Do in Rosscarbery.

The seminar focused on flowing combinations, power generation within patterns and practical self-defence applications. I also encouraged everyone to ask questions about techniques or movements they found unclear, creating an open, enjoyable atmosphere where ideas could be explored together.

On Sunday, 28 June, we followed with a full-day grading for candidates attempting promotion to first, second and third degree black belt. The standard was extremely high, and I was deeply impressed by the attitude, preparation and effort shown by everyone. Despite the understandable nerves, we kept the atmosphere positive while maintaining the standards expected.

I was delighted to see every candidate pass and achieve excellent results.

The growing relationship between Warrior Martial Arts and Rebel Martial Arts is something I am extremely proud of. Having known Warrior Martial Arts for over 20 years, I look forward to many more seminars, gradings and collaborations with Mr O’Mahony, his family and everyone at Warrior Martial Arts, West Cork.
