Beech Hill players - Aoife Kelly, Emma O'Connor, Patricia Groarke and Brian Cremen - along with head coach Eoin Kelly and coach/chaperone Amelia O'Connor travelled to the Special Olympics Ireland Games which were held in Dublin 18 - 21 June. Our players acquitted themselves brilliantly with gold medals for Brian and Emma in the singles and for Patricia in the doubles, a silver for Aoife in the singles and bronzes for both Emma in the doubles and Patricia in the singles. Thanks must go to head coach Philip Shaw for his training input during club sessions leading up to the Ireland Games, to Pat Hennigan for his support for the Munster Squad training camps in the Club in the lead up to the Games and to Oonagh Cunningham for her stewardship of the spectatorship in the IWA hall over the weekend.

Beech Hill had three players competing in the Malmo Para Open 2026 this weekend with the TTI Para Squad - Kevin O'Callaghan, Aoife Kelly and Patrick Sweeney. Both Kevin and Aoife medalled with Kevin achieving great success with one gold and two silver medals across a number of different categories - the best Irish performer - and Aoife winning bronze in Performance Class 3. Congrats to all our players!
