Happy Christmas 2014!!

I would like to wish everyone a warm and prosperous Christmas. Thanks to everyone who attended my classes throughout the year and a special thanks also to Shamrock's Hurling & Football Club, and in particular the U16 & U18 teams who I had the pleasure of coaching for the past 12 months. It has been a phenomenal year for those players. I believe we can go on now, and achieve great success with this group of players.

In 2015, I hope I can continue the good work, and help you all in your quest to get stronger and to move better. It has been another successful for my business, and this is largely attributed to you, the people of Cork- an incredible bunch of people.

Fluoride News!!!!

March 10th 2014....

Kudos to Cork County Council, following their motion on March 10th 2014, to end public water fluoridation. Cork County Council are leading the way, and it is encouraging to see that this motion received the support of all parties within the council. Let us hope that, the government will finally show some common sense, and end this scandalous practice once and for all.

The practice of fluoridating our water supply has placed a significant burden on the people of this country, and the government need to silence those beurocrats who profess to the relative safety of this toxic poison.

Let 2014, be the year when water fluoridation ends in Ireland. It is some 40 years late in the coming, however, it may well save the lives of future generations.

Class Notice!

Classes at Carrigrohane have been going from strength to strength, (except for last evening of course, when storm weather put us out of action). I just wanted to mention, because of the fact that I have been turning away people of late, I will require all new participants, and those returning after an absence to contact me before showing up at the Monday 6pm, and Wednesday 6:30pm classes. I do not want to be turning anyone away, however, I am limited with the numbers I can take.

Thanks everyone for a brilliant start to 2014. Your contribution has been making these classes a great success.

Hello everyone,

It's that time of year again, and as the end of 2013 is fast approcahing I wanted to send greetings to you all during this festive period.

It has been a very successful year for me and that, is simply down to each and every one of you. Your support throughout the year has been fantastic, and during that period I have managed to expand, and reach out to a wider audience with the work I am doing. I owe you a huge thank you.

Congratulations to Donal, Paul and Mary, who were the recipients of the 'Body Kinetics' Gift Cards. I wish I was in a position to give away one to each of you, but who knows, with another great year in 2014, there may be more than just gift cards next year.

Have a great Christmas with loved ones, and enjoy the down time. I look forward to seeing you all in a few weeks time. Best of luck for the new year ahead.

Class Update......

Due to the ever-expanding numbers at The Carrigrohane Centre, (great complaint!!), and to ensure no one gets turned away on the night; there will be no further option for 'drop-in' participants at these classes.

Instead, there will be a general sms message sent out to all those on the attendance list on the morning of, and each participant will have to reply, in order to confirm their place in one of the classes. Regrettably, if you have not booked in, in advance, then I cannot guarantee a place for you.

I apologise in advance for any disappointment, however I will need to restrict numbers, as the studio space cannot accommodate the growing list of members.

On a positive note, I am delighted with the attendances. The new people that have signed up, are contributing greatly, to what are very successful classes.

Update......

Hello everyone! Next week sees the return of a full programme of classes following the holidays. I hope you are all feeling rested, upbeat, and looking forward to making an impact on 2013.

I was working with some of you over the Christmas, however I am looking forward to welcoming everyone back next week. Don't worry about the stiffness, and all the little muscular aches that may have surfaced again during the down-time; we'll quickly work on those problems and get you moving once more.

Happy New Year!!

Extending warm wishes to everyone on this New Year's Eve. I am excited about what 2013 will bring to us all. This year delivered much in the way of success, new opportunities, and along the way I have met some incredible people.

Some stayed for a short period, while going through the rehabilitation process. Others have maintained close links while incorporating the work I do into their sports-specific performance, and for the many who have taken up near-like residence with me, the message to you all is the same- My deepest thanks for affording me the opportunity of working with you all.

Special thanks and New Year's wishes to the Cork U21 Football team and staff, everyone at Brookfield Leisure, including the High Performance Unit of Cork Swimmers, Lorcan, John and Karen at Achilles Foot & Physiotherapy Clinic (what a great job these guys are doing) to all my friends at Carrigrohane, and last but not least, to all those who have invited me into their homes and have worked with me on all aspects of physical fitness (yours is the closest professional bond I will have.)

Calling time on 2012.......

Hello everyone. I just wanted to send out a huge thank you to all the new people I had the pleasure of coming into contact with this year, and not forgetting all those who have been part of the Body Kinetics journey for the past 3 years.

I would like to wish each and everyone one of you a peaceful and happy Christmas. Your support and enthusiasm for what I do, makes my job all the easier. For all those who have watched on from the sidelines; next year we are going to work even harder, to get you moving also.

Let's not allow superstition to get in the way because of the year that is in it. In 2013, we are all going places, so together, let us make those places memorable.....

Keep that wheel turning.......

This week sees the last of our 2012 classes, as we approach the festive season, and while some will be under a great deal of pressure with their own preparations, I urge all of you to give one last push in attending [a] class this week. We have a long lay-off period of almost three weeks, and this is sure to have a regression effect for some.

You may not have reached your goals, and if I were to use the analogy of a wheel, there may be a small bulge still here or there, however these imperfections are only evident to you. You too, could possibly be out of alignment, however, most misalignments are only visible to the eye testing for this. You may be feeling a little worn in places, however, age-degeneration is a friend to us all.

Regardless of where you are in terms of the wheel, the most important thing is that you keep your body moving.

I am here now, and will continue to be here in 2013, to help in everyway I can to improve upon those imperfections, and with a little more care and attention, some day soon, you will be the best you have ever been.

GAA News.......!!

Last night's Cork Senior and U21s' Presentation evening at the Rochestown Park Hotel, was a great occasion. There was plenty of silverware on display, even though the all-important ones were missing.

Players from both teams, along with management and staff were honoured for their successes in 2012, winning both Munster titles against the men from the Kingdom. Added to those cups were the National Legue title and McGrath Cup. For many a county this would be an impressive achievement, however with expectations as they are on Leeside, we'll be aiming for more.

How, we hope to repeat this feat next year, by going one step further, and taking a clean sweep with all silverware on offer.

Continued success to the Senior and U21 squads. We are working hard behinds the scenes to get the lads in the best possible condition for the upcoming year.

Let 2013 be the year that the Rebel County enjoys its greatest successes.
