Your yoga practice doesn’t have to look the same every day. 🌿

Some days, you may need to slow down and breathe. Other days, you may want to move, strengthen and challenge yourself. And sometimes, all you need is a few moments on the mat to pause, reset and reconnect.

The beauty of building a consistent practice is that it can evolve with you. No pressure to be perfect, no need to wait for the right moment — just a little time carved out for yourself.

Whether you’re starting your morning with intention, taking a mindful break during a busy day, or winding down in the evening, let yoga become something you return to, again and again.

Because wellbeing isn’t about finding more time. It’s about making space for what matters. 🤍

You come for the yoga.
You come for the Pilates.

And then you discover everything that happens in the little moments beyond the mat 🤍

The conversations.
The laughter.
The familiar faces.
The good old fashioned craic.
The teachers who become part of your journey.

Because feeling well is about more than moving your body.

It’s about connection.
Finding your people.

For more than 12 years at our studios in Cork, we have grown the most wonderful family of students and teachers and we could not be prouder of the spaces that nurture so much more than the body.

Spaces where people come for the practice and stay for the community.

We’d love to welcome you into ours.

Enjoy your first ālaya wellbeing class for free. We're a friendly bunch, come along and join us 🙂

We are open 7 days a week:

Douglas Street is going car-free this Sunday for Autumn Fest — and we’re bringing our mats out onto the street to join it 🌿

For one afternoon, one of Cork’s best-loved streets turns into a festival: live music, circus, a craft fair, food, and right in the middle of it, us — offering free, drop-in yoga and pilates for anyone who wants to pause for twenty minutes and breathe.

No booking. No experience needed. No mat required. Just turn up whenever suits, join wherever the class is at, and stay as long as you like.

The line-up:
🧘‍♀️ 2–3pm — mini yoga with Chloe N
🤸‍♀️ 3–4pm — mini pilates with Shannen W
🧘 4–5pm — mini yoga with Lisa F

This one’s for everyone. Bring a friend who’s never tried yoga and has been meaning to. Our teachers will meet you exactly where you are — that’s the whole point of practising outdoors, in public, on a street you know.

The only thing we ask is a donation on the day, all of which goes to Cork Simon Community — a cause that’s close to home for all of us at ālaya, supporting people experiencing homelessness right here in Cork.

We’ll be easy to find — look for the mats outside Nano Nagle Place. Come find your teachers, come find your neighbours, come find twenty minutes for yourself in the middle of a very busy Sunday. Douglas Street

🌿 YOGA IN THE PARK — OUR FINAL RALLY 💪

This Saturday is our final session of the summer, and we’re ending on a very special note — we’re nearly at €5000 this summer and €100,000 raised for Cork Simon Community since we started this initiative

Take that in Cork! It’s an incredible amount, and it’s happened because our community kept showing up, week after week.

A huge thank you to:

🧘 Our wonderful yoga teachers
🏙️ Cork City Council for supporting the initiative
💚 Cork Simon Community for everything they do
🙌 Our volunteers who helped make the sessions happen

🌿 And every single person who came along, donated, shared the fundraiser or encouraged someone else to join.

Every donation has helped.

So, for our final Saturday, come and join us in the park, bring your mat and bring a friend. And if you can, make one final donation as we aim to reach that €100,000 milestone.

One last session. One last push. Let’s see what we can do together. 💚

Harvest 🧡 Reflect 🧡 Release

Autumn Harvest Mini Retreat with Brigid and Matteo

As we come into Autumn, we know that soon, winter will ask us to slow down. Choose to, first. Build your stores in this season.

The school run is back. The evenings are fading. Summer's noise has gone quiet, and what's left is that in between feeling: half looking back at the year, half preparing for the one still to come.

Autumn isn't asking you to do more. It's asking you to gather what you've grown, let go of what didn't take root, and store a little steadiness for the months ahead.

Join Brigid from Brigid Helmer for two hours built for exactly that:

✓ Yoga nidra, guided meditation and breathwork
✓ A grounding, seasonal asana practice
✓ A restorative sound bath with Matteo
✓ Space to reflect, breathe and release

Not to fix you. Just to give you room to arrive at yourself, on purpose, while there's still time to notice it.

What's one thing you're ready to release before the year turns? Tell us below.

Our yoga students in Cork often say "I wish I had done it sooner..."

If there is a version of you that's been waiting for permission to become a yoga teacher, consider this it.

October. You'll be arriving in the hills above Arambol, North Goa, about to embark on the journey of a lifetime.

You'll find your second home away from home, where our residential training centre Himalaya Yoga Valley sits quietly above the Arabian Sea. No traffic, no noise, no scrolling.

Just practice, study and simplicity in the birthplace of yoga, India 🧘‍♀️

Over 200 hours, you'll go deep: Ashtanga, Hatha and Vinyasa flow, pranayama, philosophy, anatomy and real hands on teaching practice, all building toward a Yoga Alliance certified qualification you can teach with anywhere in the world.

Those teachers you love at our studios in South Mall, Carrigaline and Ballincollig? They are testament to the quality of our world renowned program. We train you to become the kind teacher you would like to learn from! 💛
