We’re delighted to announce the Rushbrooke Masters Tour 500 Open, taking place from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th October at Rushbrooke Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club.

🏆 49 events across all ages
🎾 Combined XD events: 80+ and 110+
🔥 All levels welcome

🎶 50’s, 60’s, 70’s & 80’s music from 9pm Saturday night

(Although we’re sure nobody entered this tournament would remember those decades 😉)

🌱🎾 Meanwhile… back at the club 🌱🎾

Preparations for the Niall Ahern day don’t happen by themselves… we’re still waiting for someone to invent the self-mowing lawn! 🤣🌱

While the rest of us were enjoying the last bit of summer, John’s wife*😉, Ian, Cian and a few of our younger volunteers were busy turning the top lawn from “needs a bit of work” into “we might actually be able to find a ball up here now”. 😂

A massive thank you to everyone who rolled up, grabbed a tool and got stuck in 👏💜

No claims of lost balls will be entertained on Saturday 🏏

🥉🇮🇪 Go Tennis News - 3rd in Ireland! 🇮🇪🥉

What a day for Daniel Riordan at the Go Tennis National Finals in Castlebar 🎾🔥

Earlier in the summer, Daniel won the regional final in Limerick to book his place at the Nationals in Castlebar. He went on to finish an incredible 3rd in the country in the U12 event👏👏

From RLTCC to the national podium — some journey 💪🎾

Hard luck to Tetske’s WD6 team, who lost out 3-1 to a strong Borrisokane side today 😔

Well played Tetske, Orla, Jean and Maggie. Summer Cup should be considered an endurance sport, so well done on a great run to the to semi-final💪

Meanwhile, the fate of the XD2 team has been decided, with news reaching us from Bishopstown that the last fixture finished as we needed 🙏 Niall’s team now go through to the final 💪

That brings us to 6️⃣ teams in the Summer Cup finals 😱

This week brought a choice of tournaments for our juniors, with events in Bishopstown, Larkspur and Mitchelstown.

As usual, the RLTCC juniors turned out in force at each event, representing the club with pride 💜

And it turned out to be a Power-ful weekend for trophies 😉

Congrats lads, looks like winning runs in the family 👏

Well done to all our juniors who took part in tournaments this week.

🥇CHAMPION! Lilly Frawley takes the WS1 title with a fantastic win 💪

🥈Chaska was runner-up in the MS1 after a great run to the final 👏

A brilliant day for RLTCC with one title and two finalists at the top level of Munster Tennis 🏆🎾

A great night of Fast Four tennis, with all levels mixing together - plenty of competitive rallies and, most importantly, plenty of fun! 🙌

🏆 Winners: Ger McElhone & Paul McDonald. Clearly, they missed the memo about this being social tennis! 🏆😆

A huge thanks to Glenn & Triona for organising and keeping everything running smoothly.
