Drogheda Boys & Girls FC Drogheda Boys FC was established in 1985 to provide schoolboys/girls with the highest standard of football coaching & playing facilities.

Drogheda Boys & Girls FC is proud to cater for players of all ages – from the year they turn 5, right through to senior football. Our youngest members begin their journey in our fun and inclusive Kindergarten Sessions, designed to give children a love for the game in a safe and supportive environment. Our teams compete at every level of the game, proudly representing the club in the Dublin & District Schoolboy League (DDSL), the Eastern Women’s Football League (EWFL), and the Leinster Senior League (LSL). Based at Marley’s Lane on the southside of Drogheda, our facilities include two full-sized pitches, a 9-a-side pitch, a 7-a-side pitch, and floodlit training areas that can accommodate multiple teams at once. Our all-weather astro-turf facility is a vital resource, especially during the winter months. At Drogheda Boys & Girls FC, our vision is to develop confident, creative players in a positive and inclusive environment. We place the emphasis on fun, learning, and long-term player development, ensuring every child – regardless of ability – is given the opportunity to reach their potential. Our coaches follow a clear curriculum designed to support skill progression, teamwork, and a lifelong love of the game, while always putting the player at the centre of everything we do.

We're in the final stretch of getting our changing rooms up and running, and we're specifically looking for:

🔧 A plumber to help connect our toilets to the mains
⚡ An electrician to connect the units to electricity mains

Whether it's a professional job, a bit of guidance, or a helping hand on-site, any support would mean the world to our club and the hundreds of kids (and adults!) who use our facilities every week.

Drogheda Boys 0–2 Newbridge 🔴🔵

A tough result at home, but plenty of positives to take from the performance.

With a number of influential players missing through injury, the lads faced a difficult challenge against a strong Newbridge side.

Despite the result, there are clear signs of progress and the team continues to develop with every game. 💪⚽

We’ll keep working hard, keep improving and look forward to turning those performances into results in the weeks ahead.

⚽ MATCH REPORT | STELLA MARIS 3-3 DROGHEDA BOYS BLUE 💜🩵

A great match played in good spirits between Stella Maris and Drogheda Boys Blue.

We opened the scoring when Luke McEntee powered home a bullet header from a perfectly timed Sam Branigan corner. Stella equalised before new man Sean Flood put us ahead minutes after coming on, taking his goal expertly.

Nazari Misiurkos’ deflected effort found its way into the bottom corner to put us ahead for the third time, but the home side equalised from a corner kick.

The lads were unlucky not to claim all three points, hitting the bar twice and having three efforts cleared off the line. Great work from everyone today and another point on the road! 💜🩵💪🏻

River Valley FC 6–1 Drogheda Boys 🔴🔵

Drogheda Boys travelled to River Valley FC with a minimum squad, hoping to put up a challenge against a strong home side.

River Valley started brightly and took a 2–0 lead inside the opening 20 minutes.

Drogheda responded with a well-taken penalty from Dominic Urbanowicz, giving the lads some hope heading into the second half. ⚽

Unfortunately, it wasn't to be. River Valley grew stronger after the break while Drogheda began to run out of steam with the limited numbers available, allowing the home side to pull away and secure a 6–1 victory.

The lads battled right to the final whistle despite the difficult circumstances. 👏

⭐ MOTM: Dominic Urbanowicz — a goal and a strong individual performance.

Drogheda Boys 5–1 Greystones 🔴🔵

Four games. Four wins. 12 points. 💪🔥

Drogheda welcomed Greystones for an early-season top-of-the-table clash, and it was an entertaining opening with both sides creating chances.

Greystones were awarded a penalty after their striker was brought down, but Harry Mulligan produced a fantastic save to keep the scores level. 🧤👏

The save sparked a Drogheda counter, with Kai Guilfoyle picking out Pádraig Murphy, who calmly finished to put Drogheda 1–0 ahead.

Greystones came out strongly after the break and levelled with a superb free kick from the edge of the box.

The introduction of Keegan Collins helped Drogheda regain control, with the lads beginning to dominate across defence and midfield.

The pressure soon told. Daithi Collins delivered a great ball into the box and Kublai Ferguson reacted quickest, smashing his finish into the top corner to restore the lead. 🚀

Then came Drogheda’s third. AJ Murphy played a fantastic ball through to Pádraig Murphy, who showed great composure to finish for his second of the afternoon. ⚽⚽

Drogheda continued to pile on the pressure, with Fionn Farrelly and Alan Poropat causing problems up front. The sustained pressure eventually resulted in an own goal to make it 4–1.

And the lads weren't finished. Sammy Dube sent a long cross in from right full, Senan Lynch nodded it back into the danger area and AJ Murphy made no mistake with the finish to complete the scoring.

FULL-TIME: Drogheda Boys 5–1 Greystones 🔴🔵

A superb team performance and another three points on the board.

A very special morning in Marley’s Lane as our U8s took to the pitch for the very first time representing Drogheda Boys & Girls FC! ❤️💙

This year’s Kindergarten graduates made the step up and experienced their first ever matchday in the DBGFC colours. 👏⚽️

A brilliant milestone for this mixed team of boys and girls, with plenty of smiles, excitement, teamwork and, most importantly, fun! 🙌⚽️

This is just the beginning of their football journey, and we can’t wait to see this group grow, develop and make plenty more memories together. 🔥

Well done to all our U8s — your DBGFC journey has officially begun! 🟣🔵👏
