**RESULTS** It was a highly competitive and positive mid-week for our senior women's sides, delivering tense finishes and impressive individual milestones.
Our W2s extended their excellent winning streak in Division 2 on Tuesday, securing an exciting 4-wicket victory over Merrion with just one ball to spare. Rosie anchored the successful chase of 140 with a super 53 and a solid catch, while Anna added a crucial 26 off 16 balls at a vital juncture. Lily produced a brilliant all-round display by claiming 3 wickets, taking a sharp catch at point, and hitting the winning runs at a strike rate of 200 to share the weekly Bullinda ๐ award with Anna.
Our W3s faced a tough away assignment on Wednesday, falling to an 8-wicket defeat against Phoenix in Division 3. Megan earned the Fernando ๐ award for a great leadership performance alongside Hollie, opening the batting with a superb 27 off 35 balls and holding a fine catch. The match also saw a welcome return for Iris, who ran excellently to solidify the middle order, and a special mention to Sadaf, who finished not out in her first time batting for the club.
The W1s backed up their big win last week with a clinical 7-wicket victory away to Pembroke in the Premier League. Gen claimed the Sir Loin ๐ award with an excellent, under-pressure 54 off 52 balls - her maiden half-century for the first team - supported well by Robyn (23) and Rosie (21). Earlier, Robyn (2/30) and Hannah (2/20) led a disciplined bowling effort, with both Lily and Hannah picking up their first senior wickets for the top side.
