Let’s figure out together what your nervous system might need right now.

Sometimes we just need a gentle pause to take the edge off, and other times we need to clear out the heavy blocks we've been carrying around for months or years.

That is why my sessions at The Yoga Yard are split into two completely different practices:

🧘🏻‍♀️ The Midweek Unwind: 'The Slow Down'
Breathwork Meditation

Our Wednesdays are all about down-regulation. If things have felt like 'a lot' lately, this is a dedicated space to help you step away from the noise and soften the mental buzz.

We focus on slowing everything right down using gentle nasal breathing and extended exhales, giving your body a genuine chance to rest and recharge.

By doing breathwork before the guided meditation it really helps your mind quiten a lot more than with meditation alone.

🌀 The Deep Dive: Conscious Connected Breathwork

Our Sunday session is a much deeper, active somatic journey. We start with journaling to get thoughts out of your head and onto paper, then move into a continuous breath loop.

By clearing out the usual mental chatter, this practice allows you to connect directly with your body, helping you process stored stress, shift old emotional blocks, and find a real sense of inner calm.

✨ June Options:
'The Slow Down' | Wednesday 10th, 17th, & 24th June at 19:30

Conscious Connected Breathwork | Sunday 14th June at 09:30

1:1 & Private Groups | Available on request

The booking link can be found in my bio.

Ever tried to meditate but felt like you can't get fully into it?

So many people have said to me they have tried meditation in the past, and they can't focus. It is so normal for your mind to wander during meditation, it's all part of it really, highlighting how busy our minds are and inability to sit still. Does this ring a bell? If so...you are not alone.

But, meditation doesn't have to be this way, we can get deeper, more present and visual if we combine breathwork with meditation and it completely changes the game.

By using your breath, you can actively drop into your body and regulate your nervous system. Once your system is settled, you can reach a deeper meditative state, allowing for clear visualisations of your past, present, or future.

I combine all of these in my sessions to make sure you get a full body relaxation, and allow for greater shifts.

Check out my upcoming sessions and for now if you need some breathing tools to help at home comment 'GUIDE' and I will send over my free breathwork guide.

Fancy taking some time to slow down this week?

Join me on Wednesdays for 45 Minutes of Breath, Stillness and Deep Rest.

Most of our days are spent 'on.' Between the rushing, the scrolling, and the never-ending mental to-do list, it is easy to lose track of ourselves. The Slow Down is your midweek anchor: a dedicated space to step out of the noise and back into your own body.

We begin with down-regulation breathwork (*not my regular Conscious Connected Breathwork) focusing on soft, functional nasal breathing and lengthened exhales. This simple shift tells your nervous system it is safe to relax, physically lowering your heart rate and quietening the 'busy' mind.

By settling the body first, we create the perfect foundation to drop into a much deeper, more present state of meditation and visualisation. It is not about 'trying' to be still; it is about using the breath as a key to unlock a natural state of deep relaxation.

Leave the running around at the door. Give yourself permission to simply exhale.

Suitable for everyone ✨

What to bring:

Please bring blankets, pillows, or whatever else you need to get as comfortable as you like. We want you to feel completely supported as you settle in.

What to expect:

45 Minutes of guided peace
Functional Breathing to reset your nervous system
Deep Visualisation for mental clarity
A Restorative Night’s Sleep to follow

Investment: €12.50

Our weekly mammy and baby walks are postponed for the winter. Numbers were hard to get due to the weather, little ones being sick etc. We will start up again once the colder months are over.

"I wanted to live my life, but I got distracted"

A quote from .hari new book Stolen Focus.

We live in an age where are so easily distracted, the time of the day ticking on, to-do lists getting longer, and anxiety building as we find ourselves losing focus on what we want to be doing and doing things that are unnecessary at the time.

We have so many distractions around us, this could be our phones, Netflix, or simply unconsciously choosing to do something easier rather than focusing on the task at hand which may feel a little more difficult.

Our brain seeks pleasure, and will always try to find the easiest route, procrastination is our brain's way of avoiding pain. Pain can be anything that we deem difficult. I.e. cleaning the house, working out, writing that essay, sending that email etc.

When we try to focus on the task and then there's a 'bing, bing!' - notification coming in to our phone, of course were going to grab the phone and jump at the opportunity to do something easier (read the notification), rather than writing the essay.

In a world where we are easily distracted it is so easy to blame social media, technology, others. But it is in our power to choose whether to be distracted at that moment or not. We have the choice to pick up our phones, to watch one more episode.

Things that help me be a little less distracted-

1) Turn off all unnecessary notifications

2) Use the app .co (on this app you can set an amount of time for your phone to lock apps. Don't worry you can still receive calls, and use Spotify 💃🕺)

3) Set a timer on my phone and tell myself I'm going to spend a set amount of time on the task at hand

4) listen to podcasts/ books on distraction / will power. Education is key, once we educate ourselves on certain topics it brings our attention to the topic. Once we are more aware of it, it makes it a lot easier to snap out of the distraction.

🌻 Surrounding ourselves with beautiful nature today🌻

What a lovely way to raise money for charity. This Sunflower field is just outside of Cashel. The flowers are huge and there are loads more ready to come out in the next few weeks. It is family fun and is raising money for and National Orthopaedic hospital, there are donation buckets there.

They welcome you to take some flowers home, so remember to being a scissors as the routs are huge! ✂️
