No Marshals = Cancelled Stages!!

Right folks, lets get real for a minute.

As it stands, we are three days out from the start of the 2026 Clonakilty Park Hotel West Cork Rally. We have over 190 crews ready to take on the event.....but we're looking at the very real risk of losing sections of, if not full, stages.

Why? Because we don't have enough volunteer marshals to fill every required location.

As it stands, we're looking especially precarious for Clogagh on Saturday afternoon and Sams Cross on Sunday while also being wafer thin on a number of other stages across the weekend, and unless we get people to reach out and help then we simply cannot run!

As we get set for this weekend and an incredible West Cork Rally, we still require Marshals to pull on a high-vis, get on the ditches and marshal!

Simply put folks, if we don't have the marshals, we will lose stage mileage and that is the very last thing we want to see. We've done everything we can to organise an incredible event and run the ultimate competitor friendly 3-Day Rally in Ireland, so we absolutely hate the idea of losing stage mileage but its now a pottential reality.

For your few hours giving back to the event, every marshal will receive a Lunch Bag, a 2-Course meal in the Clonakilty Park Hotel as well as being entered into a draw for each stage with €50 vouchers to be won.

MI License Holders - Don't forget about the Competitor Contribution Scheme. A day Marshalling in West Cork will fulfill your CCS requirements for 2027.

Unlike other events, there are no middle of the night meeting points, or long days waiting for three loops of the same location. Especially on Saturday, its possible to both Marshal and Spectate with the split layout of stages!

The 2026 Clonakilty Park Hotel West Cork Rally kicks off with an incredibly spectacular bang on March 13th, as the opening stage starts right in the heart of Clonakilty!!

What better way to kick off an incredible weekend of action than getting into town and seeing a bumper field of cars fire up McCurtain Hill and into the darkness that awaits.

Expect plenty of excitement around Clonakilty, big screens, music and the rally action right in the heart of Clon!!

First Car off the line at 19:48 on Friday night.

Town Centre Start for 2026.

Is it time to start dusting off the cars and getting ready for the 2026 Clonakilty Park Hotel West Cork Rally?

In a brand new addition to the event, the 45th West Cork Rally will start in the heart of Clonakilty on Friday March 13th, with the opening stage starting IN THE MIDDLE OF TOWN!!

Yes, you read that right. Watch the cars blast off into an incredible three days of high-speed action with the opening test beginning at the base of McCurtain Hill right in the heart of the West Cork town.

What follows will be three days of incredible drama that sees the action kick off with a brace of night time stages on Friday, followed by another fourteen tests across Saturday & Sunday.

There will be plenty more details in coming weeks, but mark March 13-15th 2026 in your Calendar!!

176 Starters for 2024 West Cork Rally!

The team behind the 3-Day 2024 Clonakilty Park Hotel West Cork Rally are delighted to announce that this years event will take advantage of new rulings from Motorsport Ireland and start an incredible 176 cars in the Main Field of the event, with a sizeable Historic & Junior entry as well.

Running this many cars is a huge achiement for the West Cork Rally, and it elevates the event to having the 2nd biggest start list of any Rally event in Europe, and the biggest field of cars to start the West Cork Rally since 1981!!

Entries are now closed, and the seeding team are hard at work with an Entry List due to be published early next week!

This year we are again going to sell copies of the rally programme to anyone who would like it sent to them before the rally.

The rally programme, which includes maps and entry list for the event is priced at €15 plus postage and packaging.

Postage and packaging will be charged as follows:
Ireland = €5.00 (total = €20 including postage and packaging)
UK = €8.00 (total = €23 including postage and packaging)

Payment is via PayPal only.

All programmes ordered and paid for in full will be posted as soon as possible.

We cannot guarantee delivery prior to the event if programmes are purchased after 1pm on Monday 11th March.

If you would like a copy of the programme sent out to you, please email us at [email protected] and send the money to us via paypal as 'friends or family' to [email protected] along with your name and postal address.

The rally programme will also be on sale in shops in the locality for €15 from this weekend 9th and 10th of March.
