What an incredible achievement. Everyone at Clifden Poker Club would like to congratulate Michael Dwyer on his fantastic run in the European Poker Tour Barcelona Main Event. Finishing 5th out of 1,823 players over 7 days is nothing short of phenomenal.
We were glued to the updates and YouTube feed all week, and so proud to cheer you on.
Michael is not only a talented poker player, but also a true gentleman who always encourages others and gives so much back to our poker community.

What an incredible final and a fantastic way to close out another great season at Clifden Poker Club. Huge congratulations to everyone who qualified for the final — making it there was an achievement in itself!

There was a dramatic finish to the league last night with double points on offer.

When the league leader was eliminated first, any of the top five players still had a chance to win the title. With six players remaining, four were still in contention, and by the time only four players were left, it was down to just two.

Leigh needed a second-place finish or better after Simon and Darren were knocked out in 6th and 5th place respectively. He went one step further, defeating Kamil heads-up to win the night and secure the Season 29 League title.
