In advance of the Regatta, we will have 2 practice sessions this weekend if anyone wants to come along and give it a go 🚣‍♀️🚣

Sat morning - 8.30am to 10am
Sun morning - 9am to 10.30am

Park up in De Bucket car park, walk past the container and onto the river bank and we will be there. And bring footwear you don't mind getting wet as the tide will be fairly high 😁

A FLOATING pontoon is due to dock on the River Maigue just outside the village of Clarina. It comes after councillors approved funding of €25,000 for the project in Ferrybridge, which will allow the area’s watersports club to take the first steps towards installing the communal facility. ...

Delighted to announce the allocation of €25,000 towards the Ferrybridge Watersports Club an exciting new emerging project looking to bring back the Maigue river back into active use by building a pontoon. Activities to potentially include swimming, kayaking or Gandelow rowing. This has followed work with my area colleagues to deliver this funding.

Special thanks to Cllr Dan Mc Sweeney and Cllr Elisa O'Donovan Limerick City West who attended a presentation evening by Ferrybridge Water Sports Club at Quinn's De Bucket Bar & Restaurant and for their and 5 other Limerick City West Councillors approval of this funding for a proposed pontoon.

Today at our Metropolitan Meeting I along with my 6 City West Colleagues allocated €25,000 to Ferrybridge Water-Sports Club towards the delivery of a Pontoon at De Bucket.
I am really looking forward to seeing this project come to fruition over the next 18-24 months.
