The South Mayo Darts League committee are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Mike Nolan following an illness.

Mike was a great lover of darts where he played in both the Claremorris Town League and most recently with Connolly’s Pub Hollymount in the South Mayo Darts League. He was also a great supporter of the annual Mayo Four A Side fundraiser which he competed at in January

A man who was highly thought of and always had time to chat to all who knew him. He will be sorely missed

Our deepest sympathy to Mike's extended family and many friends at this very sad time

The Mayo Premier Darts League 2026 will start on Friday 7th August.
Venue: Flynn’s Sports Bar, Castlebar.
Time: 9pm sharp.
Entry Fee: €100
Closing Date for entries Friday 31st July 2026

Please note there is a change to this years league. Anyone wishing to enter this years league must have the entry Fee paid up in full by Friday 31st July 2026.

Having welcomed a generous allocation of funding from Cllr Richard Finn earlier this week, the South Mayo Darts League committee are also delighted to welcome a generous sum from Cllr Patsy O'Brien which has been allocated through the Mayo County Council GMA Funding scheme for 2026

As previously stated, these funds are vital to the running of our league as well as the development and participation of our district teams at the Mayo District Championships each year

We extend our sincere gratitude to both Richard, Patsy and all our loyal league sponsors and wish them all the very best going forward
