We had 3 great days fishing for the Clare Lakelands Festival. We are indebted to both Fishing Tackle Ireland and Shannonside Baits for their continued support.
The Silvergrove sections were consistent, with bags averaging 4Kg on the first day and up to 6 Kg. on Sunday and Monday. Dooras improved daily, with the stamp of Rudd improving consistently. The peg averages went from 6 Kg on Sat, 8Kg on Sunday, and 10Kg on Monday.
It was always going to come down to the last day.
Trevor Trev Platt fished his socks off on Monday and won the festival with a total of 28.03Kg over the 3 days. followed in second by Ray Linton, 24.73 kg over the 3 days, and JJ Jordann coming in 3rd with a weight of 21.73Kg over the 3 days.
A special thank you to Debbie and Trevor for travelling from Cork for the duration and to The Mills Tavern in O'Callaghan's Mills for accommodating us.
See you all next year!
Kind regards,
Anthony
