Hi all ππ½ I've been in touch with all my club members through WhatsApp over the last few months, but I'm aware I haven't posted an update on my main page here.
After 4 fantastic years of teaching my students in my Kilnaleck and Arva clubs, I had to come to the difficult decision not to restart my classes, after the doors were closed for 18 months due to the Pandemic. As many of you know from first hand experience, it has been an incredibly difficult time for small businesses in the community. I will miss all of my amazing students, from Little Dragons, to Juniors, to Seniors. You have all been amazing, and it was a pleasure to guide you on your Taekwon-Do journey. A huge thanks also to the parents, who were a huge support over the years.
We undertook a big fundraising event in 2019 to raise money for new mats for my Arva Club. It only seemed fitting to donate these mats to St Patrick's Hall and give them back to the community to use them. If you, or anyone you know are running or thinking of setting up a fitness or sports club in Arva Hall, please contact Philip if you would like to use these top quality mats.
In the RΓ©altΓ³g centre in Kilnaleck, the mats are in the care of Helen. Please get in touch with her if you are thinking of setting up indoor fitness or sporting activities in Kilnaleck. I cannot thank Helen enough for all she has done for me over the years, she doesn't just look after the running of The RΓ©altΓ³g, she takes you under her wing and treats you like one of her own.
Thanks again to everyone that has come through the club doors over the years, from ages 5 to 35! It was a pleasure to teach you all.
Dan
