🔵🟡 FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON FOR CARRIGALINE D! ⚽️💪

Carrigaline United D 6–2 Kanturk

A brilliant performance tonight saw Carrigaline D pick up their first win of the season with a fantastic 6–2 victory over Kanturk! 👏

The game started evenly before Carrigaline broke the deadlock from a corner, with Ethan smashing home from close range to make it 1–0. ⚽️

As half-time approached, Ryan Jones grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck and doubled the lead.

And just like buses, the third arrived almost immediately! 😅 An outrageous piece of skill from Alex Kelly — something that wouldn’t have looked out of place in tonight’s Champions League — created the opportunity for Evan O’Reilly to score the first of his hat-trick! 🎩⚽️⚽️⚽️

The celebrations were wild both on and off the pitch! 🙌

Carrigaline started the second half exactly as they finished the first — on the attack — and goals four and five quickly followed.

Then came the pick of the bunch. 🔥

Evan O’Reilly completed his hat-trick in sensational style, picking up the ball out wide, beating two players before producing an audacious chip from the corner of the box — shades of Eric Cantona against Sunderland! 😮‍💨👏

There was still time for some late drama!

In the final minute, the ever-reliable David Bramsfield produced a fantastic penalty save. The referee ordered it to be retaken… so David simply got back up and saved it AGAIN! 🧤🚫😂

⭐ Best for Carrigaline: all 22 players on the line!

A superb squad performance and a thoroughly deserved result after two tough games to start the season.

Carrigaline u12B team kicked off their season with a home game against Midleton A.

Both teams started fast with both teams getting chances within the first 15 mins. Carrigaline took the lead from a corner with Jamie Scallan man of the match, volleying into the net to give Carrigaline a deserved lead. Within a couple of minutes Midleton broke down the left and cut in and took a rocket of a shot which was superbly saved by Donnacha Stuart. Unfortunately we lost Donnacha to a wrist injury(resulted in a broken bone in his wrist)and Darragh Moriarty stepped in between the posts who had excellent saves to keep Carrigaline in the game.

Carraigaline went into the break 1 up. Midleton started off the second half strong and equalised. 10mins later after a scramble in the backline Midleton took the lead.

Carrigaline took it up a level and kept pushing to get an equaliser. With 3 mins left an indirect free kick in the Midleton box which deflected out to Eoin Foley who took control and on the half volley the ball went into the bottom of the net to equalise for Carrigaline.

The game was played in great spirit. Great performances from everyone of the 16 boys that togged today.
