St. Patrick’s Day - A fitting day to remember the legend that was Dolores Keane. A day when the world celebrates all that is Irish and everything is washed in green, we think of Caherlistrane’s most famous daughter, the voice that was deep enough to echo the soul of the land.

Dolores, her voice both haunting and beautiful, rings out over every radio station today, and in every village green after the parade. She is often imitated, but will never be equaled. She never sang what she didn’t love and we believed her. She carried the ache and beauty of Ireland in every note, and she had the devilment, the complexity and the twinkle of mischief to carry it off.
