Tom Walsh Memorial 10k Run & 5m Walk

Tom Walsh Memorial 10k Run & 5m Walk The Tom Walsh 10k race and 5 mile walk is a non-profit event to help raise funds for local charities.

The event name was inspired by the late Tom “The runner” Walsh a local runner from Ballyvourneen, Caherline who won over 200 races in Ireland, England and Scotland during his long racing career.

The Tom Walsh 10K race would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors, the dedication of our volunteers and marshals, the outstanding staff of the Millennium Centre, and the invaluable assistance of Bridget Teefy, who provides support each year in every capacity required.

We also wish to acknowledge the vital contribution of the local Gardaí and ambulance services. This event continues to be a great success year after year due to the hard work, cooperation, and commitment of all involved.

Most importantly, we extend our sincere thanks to the runners who travel from near and far to participate. Your support is greatly appreciated and is central to the continued success of the event.
