Closing Down!!

After almost 12 years in business, it is with a very heavy heart that we, the Carty family, are announcing the imminent closure of our shop, Carty's Land & Sea Sports, West End, Bundoran, we will remain online. It has been a great experience, with fantastic memories made, so many friendships with so many people from all walks of life have been formed. Not only was this shop a retail outlet but it was very much a social one too, reminisicent of my grandparents shop, where many, like then, called just to enjoy the chat, the craic and the banter. If walls could talk, there would be many a laugh heard inside the doors. It will be sad to see the building leave the Carty name after nearly 70 years in the West End.

9 months of roadworks right outside the front door, Brexit, 2 years of covid, the current loss of accomodation in the town has resulted in the business no longer being viable. This decision has not being made lightly and goes against our grain, we did not want to have to close but we have been left no choice.

Over the coming two weeks we will be open to clear some stock, fixtures and fittings. After that, everything else will be sold online via Facebook. It would be advisable for customers to message before coming to check our opening hours on the day. Kayaks remain the same price as always!!!!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported us over the last 12 years. We met some amazing people and characters, we had great laughs, we lost some friends, shed some tears, and have made friends for life out of the shop.....we will never forget that chapter in our lives, it was a blessing and it was our pleasure in chatting and forming friendships with you all,
