Did you know that strength is not just for athletes, but is an integral part of human health. Proper strength training can enhance movement, decrease injury, improve bone density, decrease body fat and make you feel better.

Early morning sessions in Aspire Fitness & Performance, Springtown Ind Estate, Derry. Wednesday & Friday mornings from 6.45 to 7.45
Beginning Wednesday 10th January for 6 weeks. £75 for the block.

-Suitable for all levels of individual or athlete
-Tailored for both women & men
-2 sessions per week (Wednesday & Friday)

Interested in becoming part of Maiden City Soccer Academy? We'll be holding a number of open training sessions in the coming weeks as we look to add to our current squads from U12 (2005) to U17 (2000) which includes Foyle Cup, National League and invitational summer tournaments including the Youdan Trophy.

We're always on the lookout for players and parents who want to put learning and development ahead of winning - we don't focus on last weekend's result but instead what we can offer players over the course of their time with us. Yes we'll lose games as a result but we'll never look to win games at the expense of the player's learning and development.

Our training programme includes between 5-10 hours contact time per week with 2 x 90 minute technical/tactical sessions, strength and conditioning for athletic development with MSc and BSc qualified coaches, match and performance analysis and access to our club physio and injury prevention work.

Our development centres are also a great place to start for parents interested in getting their kids involved in football. We start with kids as young as 4 in a fun and friendly environment where they not only learn to play the game but also learn fundamental movements and physical literacy skills.

Are you a runner who regularly gets injured? Or has your performance stagnated? Have you ever asked yourself 'why?'
It is common for runners to neglect strength training as part of their overall programme. Research shows that following an appropriate strength programme can both enhance performance and help reduce injury.

New 6 week block of strength classes aimed at runners of all abilities starting on Monday 10th April in the acclaimed Aspire Fitness & Performance, Unit 5a, 18 Balliniska Road, Springtown, Derry.

These classes will be delivered by professionals who have experience of working with athletes from amateur to elite level.
