🏊 Day 1 Wrap-Up: Age Group Swim Nationals
Day one is in the books and it was a cracker for the club with PBs flying left, right and centre, and a spot in an A final to top it all off.
Here's how it went, event by event:
🔥 100 Breaststroke Three swimmers in, three beautiful swims. Raisha D**g and Izzy Murphy both smashed out personal bests to kick the day off in style. But the standout was Ciara Canny, who not only dropped a PB but backed it up with a swim strong enough to qualify for the A final … brilliant swimming under pressure ladies!
💨 200 Freestyle Siofra Massey kept the momentum going with a PB in the 200 free, showing great composure over the distance. Fiadh O'Connor also got stuck in and dug deep to deliver in a tough event.
🦋 50 Fly Short, sharp….and fast. Izzy Murphy had a brilliant swim, touching in with a PB. Ciara Canny backed up her huge breaststroke performance with another strong swim in the fly. Great depth from the club in this event.
🔙 200 Backstroke A long one to finish, with four swimmers stepping up: Raisha D**g capped off her day with another PB, while Fiadh O'Connor, Siofra Massey, and Izzy Murphy all powered through a demanding 200 back after a long day of racing.
