Recent champions, including Dylan Holmes (2024) and Patrick Curran (2025), have left their mark on this event, and we look forward to seeing who will join this distinguished list in 2026.

We are sincerely grateful to Pinergy for their generous support and commitment to this event and to promoting elite amateur golf in Ireland. Their partnership has helped us ensure that the Woodbrook Mens Senior Scratch Cup remains one of the premier events on the Irish golfing calendar.

Registration will close on the 17th of June at 3pm.

Once registration closes, the lowest 72 handicapped players will be selected, and we will email all participants with their tee time on the day.

What a day for the Woodbrook Men’s Jimmy Bruen team!

Two up, two down, and it all came down to a playoff at Powerscourt. Our lads held their nerve and got the job done on the 19th. Round 1 done. Onwards and upwards 💪

Congratulations to Honorary Life member Claire Dowling (nee Hourihane) who has been announced as the first woman to Captain the R&A. We are very proud!

The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews has announced that Claire Dowling will become the first woman to serve as Captain in 2026/27, having been nominated by the Past Captains of the Club.

Claire will begin her year in office after the traditional Driving-in ceremony on the first tee of the Old Course later this year.

Our ladies gave absolutely everything today against the Grange in the Darcy Cup, played in seriously tough conditions. A hard-fought match that came down to the wire — hard luck on a narrow 3-2 defeat, but what a fantastic effort from the whole Team.

Unfortunately our Fitzgibbon Cup journey ended today against a formidable Milltown side. A great effort from the entire squad — now the focus shifts to the Barton Cup.

A cold, blustery morning but a strong performance when it mattered.

The Darcy Cup final group match vs saw the lads battle through tough conditions to secure a brilliant 4–1 victory. 💪⛳️

Our Men’s Fitzgibbon Cup team were out in action this morning against . It was a brilliant day all round, lovely weather conditions and some great play which helped us get off the mark with a 4–2 victory. Well done, lads — a great performance! 👏
