Bash at Clash

Unfortunately, bash at Clash 2024 has to be postponed until 2025. We will be back and bigger than before.

A very busy 2024 has meant that we just haven't had the resources available to host this year, it takes a considerable amount of preparation and unless we can commit 100% to give you the best experience we decided it was best to postpone.

However we do have another smaller event that we are working in conjuction with Irish freestyle and hope to announce later today, watch this space

It’s been a good few weeks of redeeming prizes won at last years Bash @ Clash !

2 lucky prize winners enjoyed a fun filled weekend at Galway Fest 2 weekends back and this weekend Adam started his adventure with EWWS - European Whitewater School in Millau France after winning the Easter camp prize !

We like to thank again everyone who sponsored a prize last year and it’s great to see some of then experiences finally getting used by the lucky winners !

This year we’re holding a raffle to raise money to support the Irish Freestyle Team heading to the worlds in Columbus Georgia, USA🇺🇸.

Tickets can be bought through the link in our bio for €5. To buy more than one ticket, donate in multiples of €5.

So not only did we want Bash at Clash to be an event that juniors make friends and memories at. We also wanted to share any funds made with others within the paddling community .
So this year we have decided to give 50% of the total raised to the Irish Freestyle team who are travelling to the USA to compete in October .
After the generosity of many club members, friends of the club and local businesses donating signs , bottles of water , muffins and cakes we are delighted as you can see in the third photo that we were able to keep expenses to a minimum.
Therefore we are delighted to say Bash at Clash made €2100 which will be split equally between the Balto Kayak club clubhouse fund and the Freestyle Team .

A huge thanks to for running the freestyle, canoes and half slice clinics. The freestyle crew are a joy and great to see a circular economy giving back to the next generation of freestylers

Providers are incredibly important to the paddling community. For bash at clash they volunteered time and the use of their hard earned equipment.

The vibe was strong this year, lots of new friendships made and overdue catch ups had.
